JB Glossinger [00:00:06]:
Good morning, and welcome to Morning Coaching Today. I am so glad you're with us. Hey. It's Jamie. It's the 26th February. We are counting down. Few more days, and we are into March, and then we go back into a due month. Rocking and rolling here.
JB Glossinger [00:00:26]:
If you're with us right now, obviously, starting the week, I'd love Mondays. Mondays is one of the coach cast I want you to check into because, every week, we're updating you on the things that are happening within the framework of the system. Not only in the framework of the system, but things that are going on in the world today, and I'm gonna talk about that in a minute. But today, as we get started, remember, start fresh. Whatever happened this weekend, it's okay. Breathe in and out. Just let it go. You know? Let it go.
JB Glossinger [00:00:52]:
We're we're ready to start a brand new day, a brand new week, and we do that with the 7 piece. 1, having the proper perspective, making sure we know, hey. It's a brand new week. It's hey. It's a chance to start over. K? Whatever we're doing, even if we've got great momentum, let's keep it going. If we don't, let's get a good start going. Let's set the daily priorities as always.
JB Glossinger [00:01:10]:
Get those priorities in place. If you're using our planning system, that sacred six area is really important. The consistency area for your habit's really critical. Focus on improved performance. This is an important one we're gonna get more into, over the next, course of the next few weeks. I'll tell you why in a minute. Have patience to allow things to work. Keep great posture.
JB Glossinger [00:01:29]:
Get those shoulders back. Let's go. Let's get the posture ready to go. Stay present in the Motivation then persist day in and day out, and we're gonna we're gonna rock it rock and roll it. That's what we're about. Hey. We've got a new quiz, by the way. If you look at the additional, in in your morning coach membership, we have additional training and tutorials in there.
JB Glossinger [00:01:49]:
I've done Miro, different types of things we're doing, and I always put them in there. So we've got the quiz in there. If you wanna retake the quiz, your thinking type, you're more than welcome to do that. Made some changes to it, and you'll see what I did when you get in there. That's available to you. You can grab that. And then, of course, it's the last part of our check month, and in that doing that, we are gonna go through some things to make sure your plan's in place. We're gonna take massive action today.
JB Glossinger [00:02:13]:
We're gonna talk about that, really work on that being mission driven, taking that action. We're gonna finish our, Building Our 2nd Brain part 4. So we're gonna finish that book. We'll get you a new book. You keep an eye out in the community, and I'll announce that next week. And then, we've got law of attraction coming, which is a deeper idea of this idea of bringing things in and understanding the play. We're gonna play. We're gonna talk about how do you deal with that stubborn person.
JB Glossinger [00:02:46]:
That's gonna be Thursday. Friday, we got understanding good money and bad money. What's going on with that? For Saturday is obviously doctor Paul. He keeps bringing bangers, awesome stuff to us on Saturdays. And then Sunday, the Quakers used to say pray with your feet moving. We're gonna talk about that on Sunday. So we got a got a big week going here, as we continue to focus on our, you know, on our growth, on our development, which is so important, having a plan in place to be able to handle things that are going on. And one of the big things that I've been privy to the last couple weeks, I've been invited to some upper level meetings on, AI.
JB Glossinger [00:03:18]:
And I know it's everywhere, but it is something we need to be aware of here at Morning Coaching you're building a career, to be able to be on the lookout for the things that are happening in that world because it can affect you. And it's one of those things where you can't say, oh, I hate it. I don't want anything to do with it. It's like the Internet. Right? The Internet came out. People I don't want anything to do with that. Now look at it. I want you to be ready for it.
JB Glossinger [00:03:40]:
And by understanding, being ready for it is being aware and keeping your eye on it. I'm gonna bring you some resources to morning coach, on AI and what's happening and what's happening in the world as these huge investments are coming in, from Google and, obviously, ChatGPT and other, you know, OpenAI and other companies. It's gonna be interesting what happens, especially those with you with children. I just want you to be aware of it, not negative. Just be aware of it so we see where what direction they're going so we can head this off a little bit and make sure we're ready for the changes that are gonna come. I mean, there's some amazing things coming, but, obviously, there's also disruption. And in morning coach, it's important that we're all in this together. It's a coaching situation, but, you know, I've been very fortunate to be sort of a futurist.
JB Glossinger [00:04:23]:
You know, I started podcasting before anybody really did back in 2005, 2006. I was using AI way before anybody like, 3 years ago. So we've been I I've really been ahead of the the ahead of a lot of things, and and I think I can help you with that. And and it's important. You know, morning coach is not only an amazing system, you know, but the one thing we have here is the ability to connect together and then and then be ready for things that are happening. And and I think that's important, as we move forward, in in here at planning coach. I I care, and that's a important part of it. I want you to be certain about your future with your plan, but I also want you to know we care, and we care.
JB Glossinger [00:05:00]:
And there are things happening in the world that we need to be aware of, so we're all on the same page. It's not a negative thing. It's just an awareness thing. And, again, a lot of things we do are about awareness, emotional intelligence, awareness, and and we're gonna get you ready for that. So you'll hear me talking about that once in a while. Make sure you're tuning in, specifically Mondays so we know we're on the same page. And then if you're, you know, changing you know, if you can get here 5 days a week, that's fantastic. If you get here 4 days a week, I'm happy, but just make sure you're checking in.
JB Glossinger [00:05:30]:
By the way, if you have any life Coaching actions that have happened, I'm writing a new book. If you wanna be a part of that, I would love to say, hey. You're like, JB, I I did this particular Coaching, and it made a big difference. I listened to the Coaching cast or, you know, I did the 7 p's. It's really helped me. Any techniques that you've learned here over the years, I would love to have that information because I can bring it in the book. You'd stay anonymous or be a part of it. I'm building a big manual as we work to with organizations too with our planning system.
JB Glossinger [00:05:55]:
That would be great. But let's get into today. Action is the key. You know, you'll hear me say this a lot. Success follows imperfect action. You know, the reason that Planning Coach has evolved into what it is, more of a productivity system, than than really anything else. Before when I started this is about shifting towards consciousness, and it was great. I loved it, and we still get metaphysical here.
JB Glossinger [00:06:16]:
We're gonna talk about it on Wednesday. Right? We still have some deep conversations. But as over the years as I've coached, you know, going into 19 years and doing this over the years, I I we saw a pattern of people that just weren't doing things. It's like Cliff Ravenscraft. And, Life, Cliff, I had to talk with him. He is a podcast teacher, and I met him years ago. He's one of the first ones, and he's taught over 90,000 people how to podcast. And we had a meeting, and we were talking about podcasting.
JB Glossinger [00:06:43]:
And out of the 90,000 people, he says less than 3% are still doing it. And it was and so he doesn't teach Coaching anymore. He said, I I don't wanna teach that anymore. People just don't take action. And so he teaches mindset. And it's pretty amazing because that's where you know, I've obviously gone over the last 10 years. We've really gone more to get it done now. ILD is still a part of it.
JB Glossinger [00:07:03]:
We'll come to this summer. But, really, getting people focused on a system and structuring and planning that I actually needed too is why we want this direction. And it's really important that we are taking action, and and so many people just don't. They just get education and don't take the next step. And, you know, we've got to do that. We've got to keep improving our performance and taking the next step in things that we're doing. It doesn't mean you're not gonna fall down. You will.
JB Glossinger [00:07:31]:
And that's why planning coach is so important. I mean, things are not always gonna work out the way you want them to. AI, for example, you know, I'm getting ready to get you know, I'm doing some video and some stuff on YouTube. We got a good community there. It's fun. And now all of a sudden, you see this new video component of AI coming out where, like, stock photo companies, like Canva and stock photo companies, like, stock, I can't remember the one we use, but they're they're they're gonna be gone. I mean, you can post in AI prompts, and literally, it'll it'll create the video. So the videographer who was so great at that in the past, now all of a sudden, the person that can write a prompt and studies that is gonna be the person that can do it compared to the other person.
JB Glossinger [00:08:08]:
It's it's really a wild world out there. So meaning, as we take action and we start doing things, life changes. That's the one constant. We know there's gonna be change in life. And so what do we have to do? We gotta have our 7 p's. We gotta have the proper perspective, and we gotta set the straight priorities. I'll never get I'll say Chris Knight because I respect him highly. He had a company called Design articles, and it was killing it.
JB Glossinger [00:08:32]:
I mean, Chris had a huge place in Minnesota. He had, life where you could slide down the slide. It was awesome. And he was, you know, just had this really cool facility, and I always life Chris. Chris was super cool. Well, I was in a group, a mastermind group with a bunch of other people, and there was another gentleman. I'm not gonna mention his name. Had another company that was big into these article generation type of things where you put a ton of content out, and Google would pay you a lot of money because the algorithm would hit.
JB Glossinger [00:08:59]:
And you would get all this traffic to your website, so you got paid. Well, Google changed the algorithm, and I think it was Panda back then that changed and killed these guys, literally killed their business. I mean, they they lost all their traffic. Google said, hey. We don't want all this article stuff and all this noise. We want a more specific thing. And, Chris, you know, he's like, okay. I gotta change, and he literally changed his entire business model to mobile apps.
JB Glossinger [00:09:24]:
He he did the 7 p's. He had the proper perspective. He set the daily priorities. He focused on improved performance. He had patience. He was and he did keep great posture. He's got a gym in there. He stayed present, and he persisted.
JB Glossinger [00:09:35]:
It was horribly difficult. It was horribly difficult. Okay? But he didn't complain. He said, hey. There was a change in the world. It changed. I need to change with it. I need to understand the dynamics of what's going on, have the right perspective, and and make the shift.
JB Glossinger [00:09:51]:
And he did. And so they went into mobile apps, and now they now he's a photographer, believe it or not. That's where he makes his money. But there was another gentleman. And, again, I'm not gonna mention his name. Had the same type of model. Total opposite, perspective. Got angry.
JB Glossinger [00:10:05]:
How could Google do this to me? This is ridiculous. Wrote his senator and said, I want to look into this and see what's going on and what's happening and actually put Chris Knight's name in the complaint. And Chris was very upset about this, very upset. And it was just a totally different perspective. And Chris went on to live a very successful life, make changes, and now he's doing his passion project, which is photography. And this person is still angry, still frustrated. Okay? So the difference was Chris took action. It wasn't perfect action.
JB Glossinger [00:10:41]:
He he met with the team, said, look. We gotta change. We gotta go to our mobile apps. We gotta make different changes and things that we're doing, but it's not going to be the same world that it was yesterday. The other person, angry, frustrated, didn't have the right perspective. Obviously, didn't listen to morning coach, wasn't working in good energy, and just totally got devastated, got run over by a truck. And that's how he felt. Where Chris got run over a truck too, but he got up, cleaned himself up, you know, get recovered from it and came out of it better than what he could've.
JB Glossinger [00:11:12]:
So understanding why we're here and why this will never be replaced by AI. It's, impossible. I mean, I don't wanna say impossible. At some point, maybe they'll have a personality that could come up with a system that's similar. I mean, we're using it obviously connected to our companion system where you take a picture and send it in, and we're, you know, we we're feeding it. There's a new chat actually, and if you could look on on the site that we're using that I've built it. So if you got questions, you can answer ask it. That's all new technology that we have, you know, on the site.
JB Glossinger [00:11:43]:
You'll see that. But I I I don't think so. I mean, we're the the reality of it, you still need human connection. You need to be able to talk, and we need to work together. But point being is, I'm ready. Even if something totally changed and morning coach was replaced one day, I'd have the proper perspective. I'd set the right perform priorities. I'd focus on improved performance.
JB Glossinger [00:12:04]:
I would have patience. I keep my posture. I'd stay present and persist, and I would make the changes according to what what I'd want to. I'd be sad, but that's life. That's why morning coaching systems are so important. That's why we do the PDCA. That's why we're checking right now. You know, we're in that we're in that, you know, midseason.
JB Glossinger [00:12:22]:
Not even midseason, but beginning of the season. Started off the year, you know, as a coach. How are we doing? Are we at where we need to be? Do we make some mistakes? I know I have. I made a couple. It's okay. I rebounded. I'm alright. I'm back on plan.
JB Glossinger [00:12:36]:
I'm getting ready to get, you know, March rolling. We're gonna be there Friday, believe it or not, already. So it's like, okay. What what what do we gotta do? How do we handle this? What do we do with this change? How do we stay motivated if things don't work? We need to keep it simple, and we need to stick with the process. We need to stick with the process. And as you do this and as you take action, one of the cool things that you're gonna learn as you do things, you're gonna learn what you don't wanna do. So as we take massive action, remember, and what your your kinda quote for the day is successful is imperfect Motivation. We're now gonna know what we don't want to do, and I think that's really critical in life.
JB Glossinger [00:13:16]:
We we wanna keep moving forward and doing cool things. Remember, I've said that thing before. I don't wanna swear today, but do stuff. And I said I was in that mastermind group, and that was the big thing. Do s h, you know, the other word. And but do stuff. Get out there and do things. What what we're doing is we're learning along the way.
JB Glossinger [00:13:35]:
And so number 3 of our piece is to focus on improved performance. That's on our skill sets. Constantly learning, constantly developing. And I get it. If you're an AI if you're somebody that's a creative and you've worked your entire life to create this art and now somebody can type it in and and duplicate you, I'd be frustrated too. I would. But there's 2 things you can do. You could either take the Chris Knight approach and say, okay.
JB Glossinger [00:13:58]:
Stuff happened. Life happens. I'm going to reflect on this, and I'm gonna use my talents and tools to go a different direction. Or you could just be devastated. It's like hair metal. Back in when I was growing up, hair metal was huge. And all of a sudden, grunge came out. Like, I was younger then.
JB Glossinger [00:14:14]:
Right? And grunge came out and hair metal died. So you can either got pissed off and died with it, or you can recreate yourself and build something out of it and survive and thrive, and that's life. And so once you understand it's the journey, not the destination, everything starts to change. And that's the process of morning coach. That's why we're together every single day because it's a journey, and we're having fun on this journey. I know it's not always fun. Getting run over by a truck, having your business model destroyed is not fun. But if you have the right perspective, you can get up, you can dust yourself off, and what's fun is beating it.
JB Glossinger [00:14:52]:
I heard somebody talk. I think it was Alex or Mosley talking about the idea that when you die, if everything went perfect and you're on your deathbed and you're laying there, and it's like, yeah. Everything went perfect. I had no challenges in my life. Right? It was just perfect. Like, everything went good, and you died. That's kinda sucky. But if you lay there in bed and you're like, man, I did this.
JB Glossinger [00:15:12]:
I kicked butt with this. I defeated that. My business was destroyed, and that came up. I'm not saying we want the van down by the river story. But if you kick butt and you made it through so many things and you're laying there and you're getting ready to die, you're like, I had a great life. It was a horrible up and down, in and out. But you know what? I survived. And there's some truth to that.
JB Glossinger [00:15:33]:
There's some truth to that. I remember the quote, and I think it's Vince Lombardi. I can't remember right off the top of my head. But, you know, there's no better feeling than laying in the field of battle, beat up, planning, just devastated, but victorious. Victorious. And that victory means so many different things to so many different people, but at the end of the day, if you just get up and you understand the things that we're working on together, you will be victorious. And that's what we're doing together. It's cool.
JB Glossinger [00:16:01]:
Right? And that's where the 7 p's came from. So follow Chris Knight's example and and and have the proper perspective. Go out there and live your life and do the things you love to do. And as Chris, who's gone through so many different things Coaching this wonderful thing, photography, and I I don't even know everything else he does. He's got a ton of stuff going on, but he's living his life, and that's what it's about. If things happen to you along the way, have the proper perspective. Keep moving forward. Follow the 7 p's, and you'll wake up just living your life, and that's what it's about.
JB Glossinger [00:16:32]:
I love you. Get out there. Have a great one. Tomorrow, we're back to the book study. Let's keep rocking this thing. Alright? It's what morning coach is about, and I'm glad I'm with you. Alright. Go do it to it.
JB Glossinger [00:16:42]:
Lots of love to
