Get Focused! The MorningCoach® Get It Done - NOW!™ Annual Planner

How many times have you started the year with great intentions, only to let them fall by the wayside a few weeks or months later? If you're like most people, the answer is "more times than I care to admit." One of the main reasons for this is that we don't take the time to plan out our days and weeks. Instead, we go with the flow and hope that everything will work out in the end. Well, I'm here to tell you that this isn't going to get you very far. To achieve your goals, you need to be focused and organized. And what better way to do that than using the MorningCoach® Annual Planner!

Do you want your life to be more organized?

Are you the type of person who makes New Year's resolutions and then ends up not committing to any of your resolutions and dropping them behind after a few weeks or months? Or maybe you find yourself getting lost on what you should do in your life or achieving your goals if you have any? If your answer is yes to these questions, you need to make your life more organized and focused. One good way to do this is by using an annual planner that helps organize all your goals and to-dos by writing them down and knowing which one to prioritize. The MorningCoach® annual planner enables you to organize by systematically breaking down your goals. It becomes easier to know which activity you should prioritize based on what you have written in the planner. Allow us to show you a glimpse of what the MorningCoach® annual planner offers. And by the way, it's free!

Annual Plan Overview

The first page of the MorningCoach® annual planner is the title page, where you are greeted by the words, "GET IT DONE - NOW!" Pretty persuasive, right? After the title page is the page of the overview of the annual plan. It looks like the image below.

Ideally, with the MorningCoach® annual planner, you use it at the start of the year. However, during December of the previous year, you have to think about what you would like to work on for the following year. These are indicated in the Questions under the Sacred 6 Plan text. Besides the Questions are the systems you will use to help accomplish your goals, followed by your mission, values, goals, and projects under the Review section, which you will review at different times of the year.

The main content of the overview page is the monthly compass system utilized by the MorningCoach® system. Four topics follow a specific theme for each month, with one topic being the main point of discussion for each week. JB Glossinger, the founder of MorningCoach®, uses these topics as the primary basis for his Coachcasts and other activities and events, should you decide to get further in the MorningCoach® system.

After the overview page, you get another page, illustrated below, that demonstrates the use of the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) for every month of the year. Plan occurs in December, and whatever you plan is meant to be done the following year. Do occur at set intervals for different months and means taking action to accomplish your plans. Check and Act happen after the Do months, and months with Check and Act are a means to review what you have done and see if any adjustments might have to be made.

Focus Clarity

The Focus Clarity page is where you begin to list down your goals and the things that matter to you. The page has several sections, as shown below:

WHAT DOES YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE IN ONE YEAR - WHAT IS YOUR ONE-YEAR MISSION? - For this part, indicate one specific mission you like to accomplish for a year. For example, you can indicate that you want to start your business for the current year.

ILD LIFESTYLE (RESIDUAL, PASSIVE) FROM SPREADSHEET MONTHLY NUMBER - Indicate here how much you think you will need to achieve your one-year mission. For example, if you want to start your business, how much will you need to start and cover all costs for its inception?

This is the monthly income number that you need to live, the bottom-line base number to survive, i.e., house payment, car payment, credit card bills, minimum payments, etc. This is not a budget that is determined to help you with your Intelligent Life Design™ life that you will learn more about. It is a monthly “nut balance,” a term borrowed from business.

MAIN MISSION - Don't confuse this one with your one-year mission. Your main mission is what you want to ultimately achieve in your life, which can take several years. As an example, your desire to establish a business can be part of a bigger goal you want to achieve: gaining financial independence.

TOP 6 VALUES - For this section, write down your most important values in life, such as honesty, humility, loyalty, kindness, etc. The reason you are writing them here is to serve as a reminder that you are constantly practicing these values throughout your mission.

TOP GOALS (AND WHY) - List down in this section the goals you need to accomplish to help you achieve your one-year mission. So if your mission for this year is to start your business, what will help you achieve it? For example, one of your goals can be saving a specific amount of money to start your business; another goal can be establishing connections with business experts. You are breaking down your one-year mission into more concrete and specific objectives that will help you get there.

Focus 1% Improvement

As shown below, there are two sections that you can fill out for this page.

TOP 6 PROJECTS CURRENTLY - For this section, you break down your goals further into specific projects that will help you achieve them. For example, if your goal is to save money to start your business, one project you can have is doing some online gigs to help you earn more money so you can set aside more money for savings.

This is part of the Sacred 6™ process. We never want to have more then 6 projects going at any given time.

DAILY TASKS FOR THE PROJECTS - This section highlights the day-to-day tasks you need to do to meet your project requirements. So if doing an online gig is one of your projects, you can write down the tasks you need to do to fulfill your work in your online gig.

Other Pages of Interest

KPI (KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS) - Note here the things that will serve as indicators that you are performing well with your objectives and how far you are from attaining them, such as how you are doing financially.

LIFE RULES (PRINCIPLES) - Write down here the rules that you follow for yourself in doing your everyday tasks, such as being on time for your work, practicing integrity all the time, taking a break at set intervals, etc.

These are more of your unbreakable rules, like never working for free, or never compromising your integrity for money.

SYSTEM NEEDS - There are various systems to help you accomplish your goals, such as a to-do list, calendar, journal, consistency checklist, etc. Under each system, write what you need to do to utilize each system for your own needs.

TRUSTED ADVISOR CIRCLE - For this page, you put in the names and contact information of people who can help you accomplish your goals. It can be your coach, business advisor, lawyer, etc.

Monthly Overview Page

At the beginning of each month, an overview looks like the image below.

The Main Topics are based on the monthly compass of MorningCoach®. To the right of this section are the Tools you will use to accomplish your goals. Under the Tools is the Book Study, which indicates the book related to the theme of the current month.

You will also notice a calendar for the month. At the beginning of each week are the topics discussed based on the monthly compass. At the bottom of the calendar, a daily outline per week (Business Functions) illustrates how a particular day goes based on the MorningCoach® system. There's also a checklist for things you have to do for the month.

After the monthly overview page, you can write your ideas and thoughts, as shown below.

Daily Planner Page

Next comes the meat of the MorningCoach® annual planner: the daily planners.

For each day of the year, you have a daily planner page followed by a daily journal. You can write your to-dos under Sacred 6 To Do, and Misc To Do. There's a section where you can write what you are grateful for under Am Gratitude. You can note your hourly activities for the day under Schedule. There are different sections where you can write something in detail, such as Positive Moments, Consistency (to check if you are doing things consistently each day), Goals for the day, Reading, Notes, and Five-Min. Visualization - Before Bed. There is one page after the daily planner to write things for your daily journal.

After the daily planner pages are two pages for writing extra stuff at the end of the year.

Focus Dreams is where you can write down all your goals, dreams, and projects for the upcoming year or even longer than that. It's basically a bucket list.

Future Items is where you can note down things that you might want to do but are not exactly a priority yet or a dream.

After seeing everything the MorningCoach® annual planner offers, you might think that you can only utilize it effectively if you start using it before the end of a year and then keeping tabs each day the following year. However, you can also use it by starting at whatever day you want in a year and utilizing the daily planner pages to take note of your activities each day. In addition, the planner is free, so you can grab it whenever you want from MorningCoach®. And if you want to get deeper into the MorningCoach® system, you can always avail of the other services of MorningCoach® and use the planner alongside these services. The choice is yours.
