Husband. Father of three college-age kids. Recovering corporate engineer turned franchise owner turned... whatever comes next.

I spent 26 years running engineering and data organizations at one of the big five tech companies. Real scale, good teams, work I'm still proud of. Then I walked away and bought a commercial cleaning franchise. Built it from zero. Made payroll. And I learned more about myself in five years of that than I had in the two decades before it. Enough that I wrote a book about it: The Mop Bucket MBA.

Eventually the business stopped matching the life I wanted. So I closed it. Not because it failed, but because it no longer aligned with my mission and vision. Hardest easy decision I've made.

What I keep coming back to is systems. How we capture what we know, how we plan, how we actually follow through. So I built a second brain in Notion, wired AI into my planning and review rhythms, and I keep tuning the whole thing like it's a product. Most of what I share in this community comes out of that tinkering.

Mostly, though, I'm here to stay aligned and do the work alongside people doing the same.
