There were a few common themes that kept coming up through our August mastermind meetings. Three of those areas will be our focus in coming days. They are going in the right direction, build belief, and become more productive. Today we’re going to take a look at some of those in more detail.

If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it!

First, we need a mission. We need to head in the right direction. We all have problems to deal with, we might be looking for a job, a better job, a relationship, a better relationship, abundance, or we may need to care for someone in our family.
Our current life challenges become part of our mission. We want to turn that negative situation into a positive direction. We want to look for the opportunity that’s hiding in plain sight. No matter what we are facing, there is something good that will come from it.

Figuring out what our mission is, and what we want to accomplish is so critical. Our mission is going to help us to figure out what direction we want to go. Zig Ziglar used to say “If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”

We all want something, so we have to start aiming for what we want.

Get the Mindset Right

If something is missing, and we want to change that… If we want to bring something new into our life, and that’s what we’re after… we’ve got to shift our mindset. The reason for that is that our current mindset has created our current reality.
It’s that simple. You get what you think about. So, we’re going to have to start to think differently. Once we understand what we want, we can visualize the good things happing for us. Our mental work is absolutely the most important ingredient.

To start thinking new thoughts, you’re going to have to get around the right people. We want to find people who have a similar mission and goals and who are working to reach those goals. When we see their success, we start to believe more in ourselves. We start to think “If they can do that, I can do it!”

Our belief in our self starts to grow. We start to think differently because we have those people to model ourselves after. We start to believe that we’re going to achieve what we’re going after.

What’s the Why?

What’s the Why? To improve our motivation, we have to have a clear vision of why we want to work on our mission. There are many tools that we can use to do this… dream boards, reminder systems, daily visualization. The secret sauce is using the power of our emotion. We want to feel the why. How are we going to feel when we achieve our goal? Our feelings act like a magnet, attracting the right people, ideas, and situations into our lives.

How To Improve our Productivity

Prioritization is the key to improving our productivity. How do we prioritize? We look at our big “why”. We look at our mission and goals. Once we understand our why and our direction, then we start to build our belief.
Then we focus on 1% a day. What’s one thing that we can do today that will move us in the right direction? And when we get that done, what’s the next thing? What’s the thing after that. We schedule the time to take action into our calendar, and we keep that promise to ourselves. We have to make a few sacrifices in order to find the time to reach our goals.

When we have clarity of direction, when we know our why, then we are able to improve our ability to focus on taking right action.

Three Steps to Success

First, Know your Direction. Next, Build your Belief. Finally, Increase Your Productivity. Each step supports the next.
There’s no point in being busy all day, if your actions don’t take you in the right direction. There’s no way that your actions are going to create success if you don’t believe in your ability to create success. If you have “Stinkin’ Thinkin'”, that is going to slow you down and create a lot of resistance. And if you don’t know where you’re going, then who know’s where you’re going to end up.

You can Win Your Day

Focus on the next experience that you want to have. That gives you the mission. Then work on developing belief systems to help you win your day every single day. Then, we just start the journey. We figure out the 1% action that we can take today. Then, we repeat that process every single day.
Remember that you have to Just Startâ„¢. You can do it, we believe in you!
