Sacred 6 Consistency

How to Develop Sacred 6 Consistency

Here’s this week’s lesson for yourSacred 6 plan for 2019!

Please remember that I am posting the S6 Lessons here on the MorningCoach Blog... you can find last week’s lesson here –>Sacred 6 Projects and Daily Tasks.

At this point, you are in the process of figuring out your primary goals that you are going to focus on in 2019.

This week we’re going to review our major goals, and decide how to measure our progress.

Remember, we only want two or three major goals for the year, so that we can FOCUS our energy on achieving these important goals, and make real progress!

We want to be able to answer the question
“How will I know I’ve achieved this goal?”

Then we are going to break each goal into simple daily projects.
We want to be able to answer the question
“How will I know this daily project is complete?”

Here’s an example:
The Goal may be to become fluent in Spanish.

  • Project A may be to use the app DuoLingo every day.
  • Project B may be to write a paragraph in Spanish every day.
  • Project C may be to watch a movie in Spanish once a week.

Now we can use a simple tracking system +1 or -1 to keep track of our consistency in working on our Six daily tasks.

Here’s this week’s assignment:

Take a few minutes every day this week to think about Your Sacred 6 plan.

We’re going to review last weeks planning exercise and add our Daily Sacred 6 Tasks to the mix.

Remember we only want to have TWO or THREE Major Goals.

Last week we started the process of breaking our PRIMARY GOAL into smaller projects.
We started looking at2019, and began to lay out month by month plan foreach project. If you did this you now have an idea of how much work it will take to meet your progress goals.

If it’s obvious that there’s NO WAY for you to complete ALL your goals, well… it’s good to know that right now. Now is the time to go back and create a PLAN THAT WILL SUCCEED!

There’s no shame in cutting back and revising your plan so that you’re not working yourself to death next year! Or even worse, getting discouraged and quitting because you lost your focus!

Remember the KISS Principle (Keep It Simple, Silly!)

Here’s an example…
Right Now,  Nancy’s S6 Plan looks like this:

Health Goal: Lose 5 to 10 pounds.
S6 daily project: exercise 15 minutes (or more) every day.
S6 weekly goal:Track  +/- progress, shoot for +7 (or better) each week. +1 for each full 15 minutes of Exercise. (25 minutes = +1, 30 minutes = +2)

Career Goal: Find one new long term client (monthly retainer)
S6 daily project: spend 30 minutes/day on client research or outreach.
S6 weekly goal:Track  +/- progress, shoot for +5 (or better) each week.
S6 weekly goal: contact one new prospect (or more) per week.

Career Goal: Complete Continuing Education Course
S6 daily project: spend 30 minutes/day doing online education
S6 weekly goal: Track  +/- progress, shoot for +7each week.
S6 daily goal: Touch base with accountability partner every day (+7)

Simple. Short. Measurable
That’s IT. That’s Nancy’s complete S6 Plan!
That’s about 1.5 hours of S6 DAILY tasks that she’s going to commit to so that she can achieve her primary goals.

These are above and beyond her regular daily commitments – to current clients, family, housekeeping, running errands, etc.

Plus her S6 projects are also measurable.  She knows what to measure and when she’s been successful.

Your turn!

What are you going to work on every day?
How much time are you going to work on it?
Less is more. Keep It Simple!
Use this week to continue to narrow your focus down until you have a plan that will allow you to achieve REALL SUCCESS in 2019!

You don’t have to figure it out all at once.
Give it time to become clear as you break your goals into projects and your projects into Daily Tasks!

2019 is going to be the best year yet!

Sacred 6 Projects and Daily Tasks

Rocking the 14-Week Plan

Today I focus on getting you to understand the Projects and Daily Tasks of Sacred 6 plan. Over the course of the last few videos, we have gotten very specific now it is time to start breaking down the goals into projects and tasks.

Remember the key is you can have as many goals as you want, but you can only be working on 6 projects at any given time.  Let’s focus on those projects today.

Big Dream Goals For The New Year – Sacred 6 Plan

Big Dream Goals For The New Year

Good morning!

It is time to have some fun this week as we work our plan. Today we are going to focus on big dreams. We get to look at what it is you would bring into your life if everything went perfectly.

What would your life be like if you won the 1.6 billion dollar Mega Millions lotto? Would your life change? What things would you bring into your life?

I am the first person that will tell you to be careful of the lotto mentality and depending on material things to bring you happiness, but we are living so why not have some fun, while making sure we stay with our practical goals.

If you haven’t had a chance to catch up with the plan we are doing, make sure you catch up with this blog post – Sacred 6 14-Week Plan.

Time to dream this week! If you want more information on ILD BootCamp coming up in February, hit us up by email by clicking here.

Goal Setting For The Sacred 6 Process

Goal Setting The Sacred 6 Way For The New Year

YES!

We are talking about goals. I know it is not your favorite topic and you have heard about it ad nauseam, but there is a reason for that; they work! Success leaves clues and today we are going to work together to make it happen this year.

We are in week 6 of the Sacred 6 year end 14-week plan for 2019!

The purpose of this plan is to give you a roadmap for creating your best life ever in 2019.  If you need to catch up or see the schedule check out the blog post The 12 Week Sacred 6 Plan by clicking here.

We use SMART Goals with the Sacred 6

SMART Goals is acronym meaning:

Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Timely

This is a proven method that if you can use it and put it together with the PDCA Cycle that I taught in this week’s ILD lesson, you will have a great game plan to work towards your dreams.

I know it can be tedious work, but this is YOUR life that we are talking about! If you are going to spend time on something I would hope it would be on your life. We often put thousands of hours into so many other pursuits, but when it comes to life we leave it on the back burner.

But not YOU, you are reading this today!

What do you need to do next?

Watch the video above. If you need to catch up, just watch the other videos. Make sure you sign up below and whitelist our emails so you can stay up to date to get this plan in place.

I want to make sure you go into a plan for the new year, so that at this time next year we are rocking! You can reach your dreams, you just need to focus and have a great plan, and that is what the Sacred 6 process does.

Some of my goals for the New Year

On the business side, I am looking to bring our Round Table mastermind up to 50+ awesome people and grow the Inner Circle by 10+ more people!

On the personal side, I will get to single digit handicap by my 50th birthday in June, and also get my health to an amazing place. I will quantify this as we put the plan together. Right now it will be a combination of 5K time, Body fat %, and HRV. My current weight is perfect. Just working to get in the best shape of my life by 50.

On the skill side, I will continue to work on my Spanish, and I need to add written skills to my verbal Spanish.

I will continue to update more as I am working on my goals this week also. Love to hear your thoughts below. What are you working on for 2019 and how can we be of service to you?

Lots of love to you,

JB

Hitting Single Digits At 50 Years Old

Single Digit Golf Challenge At 50

I started golfing 6 years ago and it has been an awesome journey. I had gotten my handicap down to a 12 but then started playing bad. I left the club I was a member off and took a year off. It has been one year since I got back into the game.

I am now loving it again, but I am also dedicated to getting good. What does getting good mean? It means getting to a single digit handicap. This means you have to have minimal mistakes when you play. It also means a lot of practice since I did not playing growing up. In fact they say that if you started playing after thirty-five it is impossible to get to a 0 handicap or scratch.

As part of my Sacred 6 I wanted to create some accountability to show my progress here on the blog and on Youtube. I will be tracking some of my progress and golf ideas here. If you would like to get specific updates on just the golf progress you can sign up on this blog below.

My current handicap is a 12.7 but I am trending to a 14.4. I have had a few bad days as I am switching my swing from an inconsistent fade to more of a draw swing. It is going to get worse before it gets better. For tracking my game I am keeping it on the Accros system and also my handicap is being stored in the GIN system.

My current clubs are as follows:

Irons 4-Gap are Mizuno Forged 919 with Oban CT 100 shafts

Wedges are 56 and 60 degree and are Mizuno T-7

Drive is a Calloway Big Bertha Alpha with a Raijin shaft

3 Wood is a Calloway Rogue with a Raijin shaft

Hybrid is a 20 degree Calloway Big Bertha Alpha with an Oban Revenge shaft

Putter is a Scotty Cameron Futura 7

I play the Srixon Z-Star XV ball

My home club is Parkland Golf and Country Club – this is also where I do the majority of my events. I also play at the club in Ibague, Colombia when I am down south.

If you like to get more updates, just sign up below and I will fill you in with reviews of courses, clubs, etc… and also the journey to becoming a single digit player.

Getting Organized To Get Things Done For The New Year

Getting Organized To Get Things Done For The New Year

This week we continue rocking the plan as we discuss tools and resources to get us ready for the new year. If you have not read up on the Sacred 6, 14-week plan click here to read the last post and catch up!

It is all about the tools this week and in the Sacred 6 book, I talk about the 5 main tools you are going to need to keep up with your daily Sacred 6. Before I get into those, let me catch you up on my progress.

I played golf last week 5 times and also had a lesson. As you know my goals is to get to a single digit handicap. I shot 98, 91, 82, 91, 97.  Started the week bad got better and then ended badly again. Parts of the ups and downs of trying to figure the game out. I will take the 82 all day long. That is almost single digits.

If you haven’t golfed before, a single digit score would be between 72-82 and that is the target I am shooting for consistently. This week the focus is off the tee where I am having issues and putting. I am reading a few books and just put the Arccos system in play. I will do a separate video and blog on this in the future.

My other areas of consistency are rocking, I have had no casual drinking since last weekend so it puts me at 8 days, and I have been studying my Spanish weekly. Health has been fantastic, I’m staying on plan, and business and life are moving better than can be expected. A lot of this has to do with the keystone habit of staying consistent with basic personal development and health ideas.

Five Tools to Stay Organized:

On to the tools! The five tools that we need to stay organized and on track are the to-do list, notes, calendar, journal and CRM (Customer Relationship Manager.) I will go over each of them here, and you can watch the video above for more.

To-do list

The to-do list is a place for you to keep the things that need to get done.  As you get your Sacred 6 plan together,  you’ll use this to track the daily things you need to get done. You can use various tools for this.  From a simple notebook to a Sacred 6 journal, or even electronic as I do with a pdf on the Onyx Book Max 2. The key is to have one place you are keeping the things you need to get done.

I keep my main Sacred 6 daily tasks in one area, and future things as a misc to get done so I don’t get overwhelmed with things to do.

Notes

Keeping notes organized is very important. So many people spend needless hours looking for phone numbers, ideas, etc… because they don’t keep their notes organized. This can be a Google Doc, a Word Document, or you can use a device like I do the Remarkable tablet, but the key is to keep them all in one place, not on note cards or post-it notes. Keep one system in place.

Calendar

I am an Apple user, but one instance when I will use Google products is with their calendar. I just like Google for this better, but the bottom line you need a calendar where you keep timed appointments. Do not put to-do’s on your calendar, this should only be for timed appointments.

Journal

There are a few reasons to keep a journal as you will learn from me. One of the main ones is relativity of time, but that is for another post and teaching. The idea though is to make sure you have a place to anchor thoughts and write out what is going on with you. I keep separate journals for my main goals like golf and Spanish. Depending on what you are working on you may have a few.

This can be done on paper or electronically. I personally use the Remarkable tablet, but there are many awesome software and physical products to help you with this.

CRM (Customer Relationship Manager)

The CRM is forgotten for most people but is one of the most important tools. This is where you are going to keep all the contact information of family, friends, clients, etc… You need a place to remember birthdays, etc… Facebook does work pretty good for this, but if you don’t use Facebook, it is good to have another place.

Also, there is nothing worse than not being able to find an email or phone number when you need it. The two systems I use are Active Campaign for business and Apple Contacts for personal. It is ok to have the separation between business and life here as you may need a few systems. Apple really shines here with the iPhone, Mac, iPad connection and contacts.

Remember, make sure you subscribe below so you get the updates as we are just getting started with this plan! I have a lot more coming the next few weeks to help you dominate the new year.
