Nutrition Systems

Nutrition is one of the key aspects of health, and maintaining peak health should be one of your key goals. In this article, we’ll discuss how JB tracks nutrition, and how he focuses on keeping it a top priority. If you focus on eating good food, it will help you achieve the rest of your goals in life.

Health is Our Number 1 Priority

If we want more success in life, we have to make health our first priority. We want to improve our quality of life, and we want to have the energy and vitality to enjoy life!

The food that we eat has a huge impact on our health. This idea was first taught by Hippocrates, who is considered to be the father of modern medicine. Hippocrates, who was born in 460 BC, in ancient Greece, said “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.”

JB feeds his dog, Neo, a mostly high quality raw food diet. Science has shown that many of the diseases that modern dogs get come from their diet. Dogs evolved eating raw meat. Most dog kibble is made with grain, rather than meat. The saying in dog nutrition field is “You’re going to pay for it now, or pay for it later.” If we don’t feed our dogs good raw food on a regular basis, we’re probably going to end up with expensive vet bills.

Pay for It Now

So this is also true for people. We want to “pay for it now” by eating high quality nutrition. We want to keep our quality of life good. Of course, genetics plays a role. Some people seem to be pre-disposed to live longer than others. But we want to hedge our bets with good nutrition.

How do we do this? We need to understand nutrition and nutrition systems. Nothing too complicated, but we do need to understand the three basic building blocks of good nutrition: protein, fat, and carbohydrates.

There’s not too much controversy about protein. We can get protein from animal sources or from combining plant sources. Protein provides important elements and amino acids that our bodies need to thrive and build muscle and strong, healthy bones. Not enough protein in our diet leads to a multitude of health problems.

Next there’s fat and carbohydrates. These provide energy, which is measured in calories. Fat can come from animal or plant sources. Fat provides 9 calories per gram. Carbohydrates come from plant sources, and a gram of carbohydrate provides 4 grams of energy. Sugar, in all of it’s forms, is a primary source of dietary carbohydrate in our society today.

New scientific studies have disproven the idea that “fat makes you fat.” In fact, we now know that too many carbohydrates makes us fat. Our modern high carbohydrate diet leads to many of our modern diseases – obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, etc.

Our bodies manufacture fat from excess carbohydrates. If we have more carbs “on board” than we can burn, then our body stores the extra energy as fat. This is a well known and scientifically studied physical process.

Understanding Ketosis

This means that we need to understand how many carbohydrates we eat in a day. A great basic goal is to eat a little less that 100 grams of carbs a day. If we can reduce our daily intake of carbs below 50 grams of carbs a day, we begin to burn the fat we have stored in our body.

Our body operates like a car that uses two fuel sources – a hybrid. When we are eating mostly carbohydrates, our body burns carbs. But when we reduce our carbs below 50 per day, the body switches over to ketosis, or fat burning mode. Unlike a car, this switch to ketosis can take a few days. We can feel a little off while our body switches into fat burning mode.
However, we soon start to feel better once we begin to use our stored fat as fuel. Remember, fat provides 9 calories of energy per gram. We actually can feel more energetic when we are in ketosis. Since it takes several days to achieve ketosis after binging on carbs, a consistent low-carb diet is the only way to achieve and stay in ketosis.

Tracking Systems

How we react to the foods that we eat is very individual. So in the beginning, a tracking system like a simple food diary is very important. Just write down what you eat, and then keep track of your mood afterwards. Did it give you energy at first, but make you feel tired later? Do you feel more grumpy after eating it? Or, does the food make you feel like you can take on the world?

Paying attention to how we feel is the best way to figure out what food our body really thrives on. Foods can have an obvious physical impact, but they can also effect our moods and emotions. Because our diets are so widely varied, we may want to try an elimination diet, eating just a few basic foods, for a few weeks to eliminate foods that many people are allergic to.

Then as we add foods back into our diet, we want to notice how we feel after we eat them. Foods can effect us even 24 hours after eating them, so a simple elimination diet is the best way to discover foods that might be causing problems for you, personally.

Of course, before making a major change in the way that you eat, you’ll want to consult with your physician or a qualified nutritionist.

Eat Real Food

Since we know that animals thrive when they eat real food, we want to strive to do the same thing. Please do some basic research for yourself and learn about the foods that you eat regularly. You want to know several things about your foods. How many carbohydrates per serving they provide, what other nutrients you can get from the food, and if any sugar in any form has been added to the food. Take the time to read the labels!

Better yet, avoid foods with labels! In general, if you shop at the edges of the grocery store, you will be buying real food. Fresh vegetables and fruit and high quality meat is the foundation of a great diet.

As much as possible, avoid the middle of the store… those items are generally highly processed, and often contain extra sugar to make them taste better. Avoid products that are labeled low fat, or no fat. When naturally occurring fat is removed from a food, it doesn’t taste as good, so the manufacturers usually add sugar to the food to improve the taste.

Some studies about Alzheimers are starting to hypothesize that in order to maximize our brain health, we may need to include more healthy fats in our diets. This is a relatively new finding, but worth considering as we choose our foods.

Find what works for you

You have to find what works for you. Everyone seems to react to foods in a slightly different way. This can be challenging, because often a food group, like dairy or grain, will be promoted as a “great addition to a healthy diet”. But, it may not be a great addition you YOUR healthy diet!

If we have an engine that needs a special mix of fuel, we want to put the right fuel mix into that engine. That way the engine will work well for a long time. If we use the wrong fuel mix, then the engine won’t work right and it might even be damaged. It may break down and wear out much sooner that if we had used the right fuel.

Even your car will run better and last longer on the premium grade of gasoline than on the regular grade. It may not seem like a big difference at first, but a great mechanic can listen to the engine and tell you the type of fuel you’ve been using. The quality of the fuel makes a big difference!

We want to put the right fuel mix into OUR physical engine, to maximize our performance and our durability!

Other Systems for Health

Since we are working so hard to eat right, we want to be sure to measure the results! Get your blood work done on a regular basis. Understand where your cholesterol is. Understand your hormone levels. Get a blood pressure cuff and take the time to measure your blood pressure on a regular basis.

If you are overweight, buy an inexpensive blood glucose monitor, and test your blood glucose on a daily basis. High blood sugar is the result of eating more carbs that your body can process. The health impacts of high blood sugar are huge and well documented!

It is easier than ever to know if your blood sugar is too high! Simply reducing carbohydrate intake so that your fasting blood sugar is around 83 will provide huge health benefits. The cost of the blood glucose monitor and testing strips is tiny compared to the increased health benefits that come when you know what is happening in your body.

Remember, pay now or pay later! The costs involved with measuring and tracking your health are far less than the costs involved in a major medical crisis. The cost of learning about the foods that you eat is minimal compared to the benefit of vibrant health and abundant energy that you can get when you eat right for your body.

What about Supplements?

Consider vitamin and or mineral supplements, as well. It can be very difficult to get the right balance of vital nutrition from your diet. Again, study the topic, talk to your health care practitioner, and use the supplements that work for you.

What about Travel Food?

It’s easier than ever to make healthy choices when you travel. Even at most fast food restaurants, you can get a great salad with some meat on it. Avoid the soda, avoid the french fries and other high carbohydrate foods. You can eat right even when on the road.

Plan ahead for flying. Pack some healthy snacks that you can eat on the plane if you don’t have time to grab a good meal on a layover. You might also carry a nutritional powder that you can add to milk or water. A little bit of pre-trip planning will help you stay on track with healthy eating.

Take Responsibility for You

Remember that nobody loves you like you do. Don’t wait for your doctor to suggest that you should change your diet. Don’t wait for your family to give up a food that is bothering you personally. Take responsibility for what you choose to eat, and figure out if you might feel better by making some different food choices.

You can ask your family to support your dietary changes, but make up your mind to stay the course even if a problem food is regularly in your house. You have the power to make a plan for eating that is right for you. It time, if you are consistent, your family will accept your new way of eating as long as you don’t try to force them to change. No one can “make you” eat anything. You’re in control of you.

If you want a better quality of life, that is within your control. Be sure to work with a doctor or nutritionist. Be sure to track your results. Be scientific and curious. If you have trouble giving up “comfort foods”, make a plan of action for a new behavior when that food craving fits. Get some counseling if necessary, or join a group that is working on giving up the same type of food, or staying on the same diet. You’ll have greater success when you have the emotional group of a group or mastermind!

Career and Business Relationships

Today we’re going to discuss career and business relationships. These tips will help you create lasting relationships that will last a lifetime.

Drainers, Maintainers and Propellers

Relationships are crucial. It is important to regularly work at building relationships. They are the building blocks of our lives and businesses. The key to building great relationships is understanding the different types of people that we interact with.

There are three types of people. Drainers, Maintainers, and Propellers.
Drainers are people who suck the energy out of you.  Maintainers are people who could become Drainers.  Propellers are the people who propel you forward. They are the people who will take you to the next level.

So we want to work at building really good relationships with people who are Propellers –  people who will propel us forward with good energy.

How do we find Propellers?

Start by seeking out people of value. This can be hard, because it takes time and patience to find people of value. We live in a society that is focused on materialism and a mindset of lack. There are many people who are selfish, and those people get more by taking from others.

Givers vs. Takers

We often think of businesses like a pie. Everybody in a business has a certain percentage of the pie. Many people are competing to take other people’s pieces of the pie.

We want to be different.  Givers grow the pie so that everybody’s business grows. We want to work with people who are willing to help others grow the pie, instead of being competitive.

We need to profile the people that we meet, and we always need to think, is this somebody I can work together with to make things happen? Do they have good energy? We use discernment so that we can work with high value people.

Use Systems

Systems are how we build really strong relationships.   We need a system to use to connect with people. If possible, we want to get to know people face to face.  Social media is an easy way to connect with people you  when you have already built a relationship with face to face.  Social media is not such a great system to use to start a new relationship.

A mastermind group is a great way to meet high quality people.  This is because the people there are usually pre-veted before they join the mastermind.  They usually need to have similar interests and goals as other members of the mastermind.

Mastermind groups are a great way to meet very diverse people.
It takes time to get to know people, and build a good relationships.

Go where the Propellers Are

Sometimes, you have to go where the propellers are.  Propellers aren’t always comfortable to be around.  They are the pioneers, the doers, the people who are trying to do something and are going out and making it happen!

Look for people who are doing, building, creating.  Try to meet like minded people who are working to do great things.  Think: Who are your propellers? Who are your trusted advisors? Who is helping you to move forward?

We’ve got to build good relationships to help our careers and businesses move forward.

Connections and Networking

If you want to live a dynamic life, change who you hang around with! It is really simple.

JB says “If I could isolate one thing that has changed my life, it is the friends I have made by attending masterminds. I changed the people who are in my life. It is the number One factor in my success.” In this article, we’ll explore how to connect with others, and what we are putting together to help you.

Networking 101

If you want to create change in your life, there’s a shortcut to success. You need to be around a group of real, live people who will support your vision of change.

Business networking groups have been around for a long time. If you have a local storefront, then joining the local chamber of commerce is a good way to get to know the business leaders in your community.

There are other local networking clubs and meetup groups you can join, as well. Unfortunately, most of these types of local networking groups are quite expensive. There is a second problem with these groups that we’ll get to in just a second.

Networking for the Online Business

What if you have a business that is more of an online business? What if you have a virtual office that attracts clients from all around the world? How do YOU find a networking group? Again, you could look for an industry specific group – like the National Speakers Association if you are an event speaker.

Or, you could join a group focused on solving a specific problem, like a group focused on launching online products. Again, these groups can be extremely difficult to get into and very expensive.

If you’re just getting off the ground, how do you find your mastermind group?

Takers vs Givers

Here’s the second problem with most Networking Groups and Mastermind Groups. Most people in networking groups are “Takers”, rather than “Givers”. If you have visited a few local networking groups, you may understand what I’m talking about.

You visit as a prospective new member, and you feel like chum thrown to the sharks. Everybody wants to shake your hand, give you their business card, and sell you what they’re offering. If you don’t need a house cleaner, lawyer, or life insurance product, they lose interest and move on to the next person.

NOT all networking groups are like that. Some of them actually teach you how to approach people, how to shake hands, how to ask questions, and how to talk about your product or service. A few groups even teach being a giver, rather than a taker, and they require their members to pass business leads around to the other members in the group. Again these groups are usually for the local rather than virtual business, and are often very expensive.

Solving a Problem

So far, we’ve identified three problems with trying to join a mastermind: cost, takers, and the difficulty of finding the right group of people.

Here at MorningCoach, we know first hand the power of networking and mastermind groups. The best Masterminds include people with similar goals, who are willing to give as much as they take. These groups teach people to celebrate the wins and encourage each other through the inevitable losses. The lucky members of these groups find their businesses growing and reaching new heights as they learn and implement new ideas and strategies that they encounter in the group.

The Six M’s of Mastermind Success

We’ve identified Six specific benefits from joining a mastermind group. We call them the “Six M’s”. They are Mindset, Motivation, Marketing, Momentum, Methods, and Making a Difference.

The most important shift that a mastermind group helps with is Mindset. To make a major change, we need to develop a believing mindset. In the beginning, when we’re still figuring things out, our own self-doubt can derail our ambition. We may thing “Who do I think I am?”. Our mastermind group often sees our potential more clearly than we do, and their belief can strengthen our belief in our ability to succeed.
We’ve seen it again and again with our Inner Circle and Round Table members! They leave meetings with a more positive mindset and more belief in their success.

Sometimes, we need to see our friends succeed. Their success can be very encouraging and motivating. We start to think, “If they can do it, then I can, too!” We discover that what we’re trying to do just takes some persistence and drive, and we make up our minds to do what ever it takes.

The secret to business success is marketing. It doesn’t matter how great your product or service is if you don’t know how to find your market, and describe it the benefits. Any mastermind group that doesn’t teach marketing skills, tips, and techniques is probably not going to help your business grow.

At, our mastermind group meetings and events always include training on marketing skills. You don’t need to “sell”… but the key to success is learning how to find your clients, how to connect, and how to influence your prospects so that they will be more likely to say “Yes” to your offer.

We think that momentum is the secret sauce of mastermind groups. When we attend a mastermind, we get a boost in momentum, and that acts to launch us to a higher level. Then we can use that energy, to help us maintain a higher orbit, even when the gravity created by of our doubts and fears is trying to pull us “back to earth”.

We’re going to be sharing the success stories of our members so that you can see the magic of “Mastermind Momentum” in action. Our mastermind members from all levels – MorningCoach, ILD, Round Table, and Inner Circle – all share similar stories of increased momentum giving them a success boost after an event with JB.

Methods and Systems

One of the wonderful gifts that JB brings to the table is the depth and breath of his systems, tools, and technical knowledge. From his formal education – a MBA and a Ph.d. in Metaphysics – to his hard fought street knowledge selling perfume….

From writing books, working with publishers, his long-running podcast MorningCoach, and his online membership platform…

To his experience publishing online platforms, exploring business apps and tools, public speaking, coaching, teaching, and mentoring in a variety of environments…

JB freely shares his methods and systems and his knowledge and expertise to everyone.

Making A Difference

This is the idea of benevolence – really wanting to make a positive difference in the lives of others. At MorningCoach and JB Masterminds, we’re not just out for ourselves.

We want to make a difference in the lives of our loved ones, our communities, our country, and the world. And, making a difference starts with developing our full potential, so that we have greater influence in every arena.

Birds of a Feather

We’ve all heard the old saying that “We are the company we keep.” If we are ready to fly to a new level, we need to find new friends to fly with. We never want to be the smartest person in the room. We want to hang out with people who encourage us to reach for our greatest potential! Let’s put the magic of the 6Ms of Masterminds to work in our life!

We have a mastermind level that will work for any budget – MorningCoach, ILD, Round Table, and Inner Circle! You can find the right mastermind to help you increase your level of success and reach your greatest potential!

How Do I Get Things Working?

One of the most common questions that JB gets is “How do I get things working?” This article explores how to get it going and how to keep it going to make the changes you need to make in your life.

Consistency in Life

The short answer is develop some consistency. Focus on your vision every day, take action every day, and keep going! Focus, Act, Repeat. It sounds simple, but there’s an extra piece – the secret sauce – that you need to add into the basic recipe. Bread won’t rise with out yeast, and action is wasted without… We’ll talk more about that in a minute.

Clarity of Vision

The first step is to get Clear. This is the foundation work that JB teaches in Sacred Six and in his Sacred Six Course

We have to develop a clear vision of what we want. It’s okay to start with something very vague, like “I want to earn a better income.”

But then, we have to keep working on refining that goal, by asking questions and looking for answers. What skills do I have, what other work could I do, what do I like to do, what value do I bring? We have to totally understand our unique qualities, skills, likes, and dislikes – our value.

We have to be willing to work at developing deeper clarity about our own potential by following our inspiration, to research ideas and take the time to investigate possibilities.

While we investigate possibilities, we continue hold the original vision until we develop a deeper level of clarity, and make a choice about our next direction.

Stay Motivated – Find Your Why

The next step is to stay motivated. We achieve success with daily effort. But we’re going to hit resistance. Roadblocks, detours, the drudgery of working at it. In order to keep going, we have to have a Why.

For example, JB’s vision for MorningCoach has recently deepened and clarified. He’s focusing more on mastermind groups, with a new website called JBMasterminds .

MorningCoach is a simple, daily, mastermind that we do via the MorningCoach podcast and with our community on the MorningCoach website .

ILD is a higher level Mastermind, with an event included in the Membership . Everyone in ILD needs to plan to come to the annual event if they can, because that’s where the magic happens… when we make live, face-to-face connections with other human beings.

Round Table and Inner Circle are higher level masterminds with more live events. Hosting and organizing events can be very expensive to do. So, JB is inspired to purchase a building that he can use as a retreat center. He’s found his WHY to keep him motivated to do the work necessary to take MorningCoach and JB Masterminds to a whole new level.

Stay Motivated – Remember the Pain Point

Usually, we want something different because we don’t like our current circumstances. This is the Pain Point. If we’re overweight and having health issues because of it, that’s our pain point. We remember that if we eat that donut, it’s going to be difficult to lose the weight, and we might gain even more weight.

If we want to build a new career, it’s going to be tough. We may have to work full time and study in the evenings. Our progress towards the new career is going to be slow. So we need to remember how much we dislike our current career, or how we’re limited by our current income. We make friends with the pain point, and use it as the motivation to get us past the resistance that we encounter.

Hold the Vision

The third step is holding the vision. This is a twice a day exercise.

First thing in the morning we need to take some time to envision our dream. What is our vision? How will it feel when we get there? What will our life look like? We take time to envision that in as much detail as we can.

In the evening as we go to bed, we want to hold the vision again. We start by encouraging ourselves by “stacking the wins”. We think about all the things that we DID accomplish during the day. Be sure to include any progress that we’ve made that day towards our goal… Even if it’s just “I read a chapter of that book,” or “I did my vision exercise this morning.

Then we hold our vision in our mind as much as possible. We want to focus on what we DO want and how that will feel. We push aside all thoughts of discouragement, fear, doubt, or stress. This is our time to look forward to what we want to create. This programs our subconscious mind as we fall asleep, and we will start to activate the Law of Attraction in our favor.

Take Action Ever Day

Now we must take daily action. JB teaches making 1% progress a day. The duration of action is less important than the consistency of the action. We must take some action every day.

Again, this activates the Law of Attraction. We get what we think about. And if we are taking action towards a goal, we are thinking about what we want.

Our Formal Education system is an obvious example of the power of daily action. Children all over the world are required to attend school everyday. Learning to read, write, and do mathematics are such vital skills that we require children by law to get this education. We know that we can’t wave a magic wand, the children have to make daily effort to acquire ability to read, add, subtract, or write.

JB is starting a new YouTube Channel. He’s documenting the work involved in building his mastermind groups. How long will it take? It doesn’t matter. The important part is to do the work every day, and celebrate the wins!

When Do We Quit?

We all experience resistance. That’s normal. As long as you understand your mission and where you are going, you should work through the resistance. Buckle down. Do the work. Sometimes an extraordinary effort is needed.

However, sometimes events start to happen that feels like your trying to paddle upstream against a strong current. This may be the Universal Mind trying to guide you onto the Path of Least Resistance.

There is a different path to where you want to go, and it may time to look for a new direction. It’s usually very obvious that more hard work won’t solve the problem. You may have to let go of a cherished dream for a while, and do something different. This can be really confusing, but sometimes we need to take a different path or a detour to reach our final destination.

Become a Finisher

Next, we have to remember the power of focus. Do one thing. Finish one thing. Become a finisher. Give your new project a minimum of a year. Visualize every day. Work on it every day. Immerse yourself in your project if you can, and if you can’t do that, then develop patient persistence. Little by little, you will reach your destination. Create a habit of finishing, and you will create a habit of succeeding.

The Missing Ingredient… Belief

All the hard work in the world will not over come belief. If you believe that something is not possible for you, you’ll be right. If you believe that it is possible, you’ll be right. What you BELIEVE about yourself controls the outcome.

Don’t compare yourself to others. The problem is that we only see other people’s outsides. We can’t see their inner doubts, fears, and personal challenges. We all have challenges, and we all have negatives and positives. Be careful that you don’t compare your insides to other people’s outsides.

To strengthen our belief in ourselves, we need the support of like minded, positive people.
People who are working on similar goals, who have similar challenges, who have similar beliefs.

Joining a mastermind group is a great way to do this. Often our mastermind members see us differently than we see ourselves. They can see our potential much more clearly than we can, and we need to hear their encouragement on a regular basis. We also need to give back encouragement to our mastermind friends. The more we give encouragement, positivity, and hope to others, the better we feel about ourselves.

All In This Together

We’re just like you. We have the same issues. The same frustrations. We’re all in this together. How do you stick with it? Have a clear vision, focus on your vision, do the daily work, push yourself, work on a believing mindset, and get the group support.

Feeling Too Good

Is there a time when you can feel too good? What happens when the Ego says “slow down” and you start to falter on the things you are going after? In today’s article, we discuss what happens when you feel too good and you backslide on your dreams.

Can you feel too good?

On our WhatsApp group we had a great discussion about when we start feeling too good, we can start to backslide. What does it mean to feel “too good”? Can you feel “too good”?

Yes, you can. You start to feel great. Things are going really well. And then, we start thinking, “I could have just one drink,” or “I could stop making sales,” or “I can stop working so hard.” “I can take a breather.”

We take our foot off the gas pedal

It’s easy to become complacent. We all do it! Maybe we’ve had some success losing weight. We’ll walk into the grocery store, and think “It’s been a long time since I’ve had a donut… I deserve a donut!”

Then, we do the same thing the next day. We have a sudden urgent need to go to the grocery store, and oh, by the way there’s those donuts again. Before you know it, it’s donuts every day and the weight has all come back plus more.

Or we can be in a Holding Pattern

Or, if we’re lucky, we can get stuck in a holding pattern. Our income, weight, career, gets to a particular level of success. And we relax and become complacent and start to lose our focus on our ultimate goal.

We get used to that level of prosperity, shirt size, or career and we just get stuck there. It’s so good, so comfortable, that it’s a bit scary to take any risks to try to achieve more. That’s how most people get stuck in dead-end jobs. We think “Better the Devil I know…”.

Why Do We Backslide to Negative Habits?

Why do we all have trouble with backsliding to negative habits? This is the Ego, distracting us from achieving our goals. The Ego all about Fear. It is afraid of change. It’s afraid of success. The Ego is afraid of your success. If you become too successful, then you won’t be afraid any more! That will never do!

The Ego tries to convince you to relax, to backslide, to give up, to be a victim, or that you deserve for others to do things for you. The more we listen to the Ego, the more afraid we will feel. That’s when the Ego is in charge.

Moments of Weakness

Often we have moments of weakness. This can happen when we’re feeling tired, down, or discouraged by a setback.

But the really scary part is how often we self-sabotage when we’re having some success. We’re feeling “too good” and we do things to take ourselves back to where we shouldn’t be. We set ourselves up for more “hard times.”

So finding a way to hold the vision during those moments of weakness is so important.

How To Keep Our Eyes on the Prize?

We have to learn to improve our focus. It’s important to spend some time every day envisioning our goal. Imagining it, seeing the details in our mind. We use our vision to help us remember our “Why”. Why do I want this goal? How will I feel when I get there?

We can also spend some time thinking the “What if I give up?” Keeping the negative consequences in mind can be even more powerful way to stay focused. I once heard someone say, “I don’t have a drinking problem, I have a handcuffs problem.” Remembering the handcuffs helped this person to stay focused on sobriety.

Holding our Highest Vision

As we’ve studied the Master Key System, we’ve talked a lot about holding our highest vision for ourselves. Holding our highest potential in mind and being able to see it is critical. That’s the key to the Master Key. We have to be able to maintain that focus on our Vision.

How to Maintain our Focus

Since the Ego is trying to scare us and distract us, how can we maintain our Focus?

It’s vitally important to have the support of a group of like minded people. This is why people attend church. The support of the group is why twelve step programs work. This is why business people and new entrepreneurs find a mastermind group. It’s so much easier to succeed when you have the support of a group.

Holding the Vision of Success

One of the key reasons that masterminds work is belief. Our group members often believe in our success before we do. They can see us and our potential more clearly than we can see ourselves.

Group members can hold the vision for each other. In JB’s Mastermind Groups, JB also helps to hold the vision for each person in the group. We have four mastermind groups here at MorningCoach.

MorningCoach members are usually focusing on improving daily habits and positivity. ILD (Intelligent Life Design) Members are focusing on health, prosperity, and building a more fulfilling life. Round Table Members are “taking a leap of faith” and creating something new for themselves. Inner Circle Members have experienced some success and are building to the next level.

Climbing the Salmon Ladder

Each mastermind group from MorningCoach to Inner Circle acts somewhat like a salmon ladder. We work together to jump to the next level of success. But at each level, the function of the mastermind stays the same.

In the mastermind groups, we can help each other stay focused on our vision. Together, we have a power and a synergy that we do not have alone. Our group members provide inspiration and motivation. They encourage us when we’re feeling down, and they celebrate our successes.

We all need the support of others in order to be able to climb to our highest potential.

Learning To Turn Thoughts to Things

How do we turn our thoughts into things? This is what we’ve been studying in the Master Key System. We’re learning to attract the opportunities that we want with our mind.

We have to be able to hold on to our vision. We need great focus, and we need to be able to concentrate.

Protect Your Ears

JB watched a video by Gary Vanderchuck where Gary was talking to a 14 year old who was in a very negative family situation. Gary told him to “protect his ears.” Gary meant that we have to have positives going into our mind to counteract a negative environment.

We have to become very aware of the systems the we live in, and how often we are programmed to fail by negative news, people, and environments. We have to have positives going in all the time to protect our inner kingdom.

Positive Inside when Everything is Negative Outside

Gary told the teen, “You have to be positive on the inside when everything is negative outside.” This is obvious. Focusing that maintaining a positive outlook will help when everything around us is chaotic or challenging.

But, when things are going good, we start to shift and become complacent. The Ego starts to distract us and we start to backslide. Becoming aware of our habits and mental conversations is key.

Be Consistent

To avoid the backslide, we have to become consistent in our daily routine. Work to get mental systems and strategies in place; we want those habits and systems to be our routine during times of success as well as failure.

We don’t backslide, we want to be “On” mentally, stay motivated, and maintain forward momentum.

Be Aware

Just become aware of the sneaky ways that the Ego tries to distract you from your vision. It will become more obvious when you have a daily routine of envisioning your goal or goals first thing in the morning and right before bed.

Put habits and routines into place to maintain the forward momentum. Keep going, don’t slow down.

Quotas hold you back

Zig Ziglar had a story about training fleas . It’s about how we learn to accept an artificial limit. We stop trying to surpass that quota or limit.

It’s important to remember to keep going when we achieve some success. We want to become aware of our limiting habits that we fall into when we achieve some success. We want to notice our limiting habits that we use to self-sabotage.

Substitute Good Habits for Bad Habits

How do we avoid self sabotage? We start substituting good habits for the limiting habits. Reading instead of cruising the internet. Learning something new instead of doing the same old thing.

Remember that we do everything for pain or pleasure, and remember to associate massive pain with the limiting habit. Remember the hangover before we pick up that drink, remember the extra pounds before eating that dessert. Exercise when you’re wanting to backslide.

Talk to Others

Don’t be afraid to talk to other people. Everybody is facing some kind of challenge. That’s life. Don’t try to take things alone. You’ll be so much more successful when you share your challenges, fears, and failures with others. We’re all in this together, and we can encourage and motivate each other.

When You Backslide, Get Back to a Daily Routine

Here at MorningCoach, we learn to build a daily routine based on our mission and values. The only person that knows what works for you, is you. What do you need to do on a daily basis to create your vision.

Get Crystal Clear

Lots of people have “so many things” that they want to do. Most of those people are so distracted that they never accomplish anything. We have to get patient and work on ONE thing.

In order to be successful, we need to get crystal clear and focus on completing ONE thing. That success will open the door to other wonderful opportunities. But first, we have to focus on completing ONE thing.

Do the Work

Stay patient, be focused, and do the work. Learn to hold the vision of success through the difficult work part of creating your vision. Keep going, and build the momentum. Get the support around you, and hold the vision.

Remember, to turn your dream into a reality, take some time morning and night to hold the vision. Guard your inner kingdom. Do the work. Find a support group to help you stay on track. Before you know it, you’re going to achieve massive success,

How To Prioritize

One of the topics that we discussed at the Round Table Mastermind was about How to Prioritize.

This was specifically addressing how to organize and implement all the great information that we get when we attend a mastermind meeting…
it’s like trying to drink from a fire hose!

However, we did some brainstorming, and these ideas would work for any situation where it’s important to stay organized and approach a task in a logical manner.

Q: How do you prioritize when you come to an event?
I’ve got a notebook full of ideas, what do I focus on when I go home?

Look at the time, energy, and interest in each idea.
Do the quick and easy first, focus on making progress.
If brain power is needed – needs to be in morning.
Put stars by the ones that are realistic.

Lee K

Review notes and create a to do list.
Compare to-do list with what fits w/ Sacred 6 and mission.
Shelve some ideas and maybe they’ll work at another time.

Prioritize the struggle (Eat the Frog).
I have to stop making excuses. Put big girl pants on and just do it.
Just put the hardest thing at the top of the list.

If it’s not pushing my goals forward, drop it.
Make time for me.
Create a balance in life.
Take care of yourself first.

Not eating the frog! Sometimes there is too much struggle in life!
Want to have energy and fun every day.
Do the things that match my strengths
Do the things that are easy and fun.

Find gadgets and technology to help you prioritize.
Currently using LiveScribe – records notes, helps to capture important details in meetings
Technology can be your friend.

Daily Task List + Meditation:
After reviewing my task list, I take a few minutes to relax and just be.
Listen for that inner voice to help me confirm or rearrange my priorities.
Often guided by my Intuition.

That’s it for today!
What I realized from this brainstorming session was how we each had such an individual process.
There’s no one “right” way to prioritize.
But, the connecting theme was that we EACH take the time to prioritize every day!

I’ll have more notes from our event ready in a few days!
I’m also collecting biographies so that I can introduce you in more detail to our amazing Round Table Mastermind Members!

Health is Wealth

Wednesday is the day that we go deep into metaphysical ideas. In today’s article, we’re going to discuss one of the best ones, and that is “Health is Wealth.” We have some tips on creating more of everything you want in your life by getting your mental and physical health to peak states. It is time to get back on a health kick!

JB’s Story

Years ago, JB left his job in the Aerospace industry. He was deeply unhappy with his career and lifestyle and struggling with finding a new direction. He subsequently went broke. It was a very challenging time.

JB let his health go. He didn’t eat right, he stopped working out. He lost weight from the stress of his financial challenges. But he got through those hard times and health challenges because of his daily MorningCoach CoachCast. He started taking is own advice.

Discovering Martial Arts Training

One of JB’s friends recommended that he try martial arts, and after some experimentation, he discovered Mike Lee Kanarek’s gym. “Sir” is a former Israeli commando out of the special forces who teaches fitness and self defense. JB began his journey back to health on the martial arts mat.

Everything started to change once he started to take care of himself. Walking through that door changed was the start of a huge transition for JB. Taking care of himself, focusing on health and getting in shape is what changed everything.

Be in the Best Health Possible!

Taking care of our health is the foundation of success. It doesn’t matter what level we’re at… MorningCoach, ILD, Round Table, or Inner Circle… First we have to take steps to maximize our health!

Wealth follows Health. Metaphysically (Mentally) and Physically, we have more energy and vitality when we are at peak health. We feel good, and we have energy and enthusiasm for life. When we are healthy, we can be more creative, productive, and solve problems more easily.

It’s Time to Prioritize Our Health!

We all backslide sometimes, and our health suffers. We all go through periods where we lose focus on the importance of our health. Health care is often the first thing we give up when we get busy. It takes time to prepare healthy meals. It takes time to go exercise.

First, we make our health a priority. Second, we set up a morning routine. And, oddly enough, a successful morning routine starts the night before! We have to go to bed “on time” and get a good night’s sleep. We have to learn how to sleep better, and get prepared to go to bed. It’s important to have an evening routine that helps us relax and wind down and prepare for sleep.

Sleep is When We Heal

When we are sleeping all kinds of healing takes place automatically. As we sleep, healing takes place on multiple levels: body, mind, and soul. Sleep is very good for you. How much sleep you need is a very personal thing. Some people only need five or six hours a sleep a night, some people need 10. But if you’re not a peak health, if you’re not achieving your goals, start with adjusting your bedtime routine and sleep hygiene.

Break Your Fast with Good Nutrition!

Lemon water is a great way to start the day, followed by some light exercise. Breakfast should be healthy and nutrient rich. JB likes a smoothie because it’s easy to make, easy to digest, and starts his day off with some good nutrition.

Morning is the Time to Get Clear!

It’s important to take care of your mental health first thing in the morning. Listen to MorningCoach to get your day started right, that’s why we’re here! Read or study something motivational.

Understand your Hormones

Talk to your health care practitioner, and find healthy ways to bring your hormones into a better balance. Make sure to get your blood tested regularly, and research the supplements and foods that can help you keep your hormones in balance. Knowledge is power, so test regularly so that you know why you might not be feeling your best.

Physical Training Includes both Resistance and Cardio

It’s important to add physical training into your daily routine. Gentle exercise like walking and stretching (yoga) are a great place to start if you are really struggling with poor health.

As you get stronger, add Resistance and Cardio training to your weekly routine. Resistance training is done with resistance bands or weights. Cardio training gets your heart rate up. JB does cardio training two to days a week, and the other days works out at the Gym.

Train for Something

To stay motivated, train for something. Set a goal, and then work to achieve it. When we publicly commit to participating in an event, like a 5k walk or run, we are more likely to stay on track. Train for something, because it will get you up and keep you moving.

Perpetual Health Kick

The bottom line is that we need to be in a perpetual health kick. Human beings evolved to walk, run, and hunt over long distances. Our bodies crave exercise and fitness. If you don’t feel your absolute best, it’s time to put your physical fitness at the top of your priorities list.

Being in your best health, will help you to achieve success in every other area of your life because you will have the energy, stamina, and enthusiasm to live life to it’s fullest!

How To Sell More

One question that keeps coming up here at MorningCoach is “How do I sell more?” A lot of it has to do with your attitude towards sales. In today’s article, we’ll focus on how you can learn to sell more and make it happen. Don’t be scared by sales! Let’s learn to embrace selling!

Is Selling Bad?

There’s this idea that sales is bad. That sales is dirty. A lot of people, are scared to sell somebody something. That word is just dirty, right? It doesn’t seem like it’s a great word. But at the end of the day, if if we don’t have sales the world stops.

Everything goes away. If people are not selling, they’re not prospering! In the dawn of civilization, we used the barter system. Good hunters might have traded some meat for a better bow and arrow. Then the hunter could easily bring home more food. Humanity grew and prospered because we learned to trade, and developed money as an easier way to exchange goods and services. Selling is the foundation of prosperity, health, and growth.

There are many people in our community who are building their own businesses. We have people trying to break free and build their own business. But where they’re breaking down is in the sales aspect.

It’s all about Connection

The reason people fail at business building is they’re afraid to pick up the phone. They’re afraid to connect. So a lot of people try to substitute technology for connection. They think that technology is the pathway to creating revenue.

Technology has it’s place. At MorningCoach, we’ve been able to build some great systems and are able to reach people. Obviously, podcasting is a great medium. It’s a communication channel.

But the majority of the people that we connect with come from one-on-one relationships. The high level Inner Circle, Round Table, and retreat activities that we do, come from JB working with people and actually talking to them and the one-on-one communication.

Yes, maybe they signed up for an email list one day, or maybe they listened to that coach cast, but it really comes down to getting to know people.

Provide Great Value

Zig Ziglar used to say “You can have everything in life that you want if you just give enough other people what they want.”

And the way sales works is connecting with people and solving problems so sales doesn’t have to be negative. If you are selling something you don’t believe in, then it is negative. But if it’s something that you totally, 100 percent believe in, there’s absolutely no way you can’t sell.

And, in fact, you need to sell. You need to get up on the top of the mountain and scream, but you can’t rely only on tech. Most people want to send an e-mail. They want to be keep it cold to work in the cold market. They don’t want to work in the hot market.

So you’ve got to love what you’re selling. If you don’t believe that you are providing great value to your customer, that will show. Never sell anything that you don’t believe in!

Solve Problems

Then the next step is to be consultive in your sales process. It’s easy! Find problems and then bring solutions to those those problems. That’s the whole secret to the sales process.

Some of things are easier to sell than others. JB’s wife, Pilar, runs a cleaning business. That’s a pretty easy sale. People want to have someone come in to clean their house because they don’t have time to do it. They go looking for a service. They do a search, make a call, get connected, and schedule an appointment for cleaning. Bam. Easy sale. Pilar has solved their problem.

The Mastermind Groups, Events, and Retreats that we do here at MorningCoach is a little more difficult sale. There aren’t a lot of people out there searching for that. In fact a lot of people don’t know the value of it.

So when you’re dealing with something like that, you also have to educate your potential customer on the benefits of your product or service. Why somebody would want to be a part of that? Why somebody would want to spend twenty thousand a year to become a part of something? What would that do for them?

For selling this type of product, it has to be consultive sales. It has to be. You’ve got to be able to solve their problems. You have a specific set of problems that you are solving and that you’re bringing that solution to the marketplace.

Connect with Real People

Technology is amazing. You can reach more people now than you ever have. But is it the only vehicle that’s going to create sales? No. Is it a vehicle that can work? Yes. Just don’t fall into the technology trap. We have to make connections with real people.

The first thing that you’ve got to do is establish that connection. And a lot of times that connection needs to be in person.

The Secret of KLT

People only buy from someone that they know, like, and trust. Know, Like, and Trust is KLT. If people don’t know you, like you, and trust you are not going to buy from you.

That’s why really critical that we start to change our beliefs and get excited about the things that we are presenting.

For example, let’s look at MorningCoach. We love MorningCoach. It’s a very easy sale, it’s daily coaching, motivation, the power of positivity. We say “You need to listen to this, you need to get good energy.”

Then, we have Intelligent Life Design.

That’s ILD. ILD is actually a little bit easier sell than MorningCoach. Why? Because people are looking to break free. They’re looking to change their lives. They’re looking for help changing their life and building a business, and that’s actually really easy.
The number one easiest sale to make is a show somebody how to create revenue or to change their lives in that manner. And, ILD is not only about that… it’s much more than that. There’s the event, and community, our systems, and everything else.

Then we have our mastermind groups: Round Table and Inner Circle.

RoundTable is a very simple mastermind group, and InnerCircle is a more comprehensive group at a more advanced level. Mastermind’s are a little more challenging to sell, because people don’t understand masterminds and networking and getting to know people and how valuable that is. Those are more challenging sales, but they come from individual meetings and people talking and referrals.
JB also offers personal coaching. Those clients are definitely from referrals or via appointment. There has to be a great fit between the prospective client and JB. JB has to be able to help them solve a problem.

New in 2019 will be our retreats to Columbia, South America. These retreats down in Columbia will only take 10 people. This is to hang out with JB and enjoy the country. There are some pretty cool places very fun cool events. Those sales are not made from an email, they come from one-on-one conversations.

All of these types of sales come from Know, Like, and Trust. And how do we develop KLT? By making one-on-one connections with real live people.

We’re All In This Together

Here at MorningCoach, we’re working on improving our ability to connect, too. It’s easy to hide behind technology. But we can do a better job here, all of us, getting out there and getting to know real people and connecting with real people. We want to lead by example, and show you how easy it can be to build your ILD busines when you understand the power of KLT.

I can’t sell!

Let’s talk about selling. A lot of people feel they can’t sell. They say, “Oh, I can’t sell.”

We don’t want you to sell. Just try to help people. When you get on a phone call, or you’re talking to somebody about what you’re trying to offer, the whole key thing is to remember that people are going to buy from somebody they know, like, and trust. And that someone can also solve their problems.

We believe in consultive sales or a trusted adviser sales which means you’re only going to sell somebody something that they really need. You’re not going to sell somebody something they don’t need.

When you try to sell someone something that they don’t need, and you’re successful, there’s a good chance that they’re going to reject at some point because you sold them in. You should never have to sell somebody in. Meaning, they should make the decision themselves.

Talk to them and listen to their problems.

At the end of the day all you’re doing is solving their problem. If you can’t solve their problem you don’t want to sell them in. You never want to sell anybody into anything. They need to make the decision on their own, without being pressured with sales gimmicks. Otherwise, in a couple of days they’re going to have buyer’s remorse, wondering what the heck happened and they’re not going to be happy. You’ve just destroyed your KLT relationship with that person.

It’s why with JB’s Coaching, and the Round Table and Inner Circle mastermind groups, we make sure each person is a great fit. Look, the last thing that we want is to “sell you” into it. We could say, “Oh you know you’ve got to get it because it’s going to do this and you know give you 19 million promises.” That’s not what it’s about. We want people that are coming to us and saying “I’m interested in Round Table!” That’s how it works. “I’m interested in working with the people in the group, I hear you’ve got great people in there. How do I get started?” OK great. Fill out an application.

Go to and fill out an application and we’ll talk. And JB interviews everybody in his mastermind groups. He wants to make sure you’re a good fit and that we can help you solve a problem. Our mastermind groups help people tremendously. We’ve have some amazing people doing some amazing things.

The First Phone Call

The hard part is getting people to take action to get them on the phone. And that’s one thing that we’re working to improve on here at MorningCoach. Why is that the hard part? Well, because you got to have some type of system that introduces you to people so they get to know, like, and trust you.

How do you do that? You provide great value. Our coach cast, our membership groups are part of the value that we provide. For a very low cost, you can get to know us, and decide if you want to work with us at a higher level.

Sales can Change the World

Today, we want to make sure that you start to shift your ideas about selling. Sales improves the world! For us to be more successful in whatever we do we have to sell. It can be about building your career, but you’re also selling when you try to persuade someone to see the movie that you want to see. We’re selling all day every day, and we just don’t know it.

Sales is not a bad thing it’s a great thing. It’s an awesome thing. It’s what can change the world. It can change your life, but you got to believe in it, and you got to get out there and start talking to more real people. It’s something that we’re doing here, too!

Are there bad salespeople? Of course. Are there good ones? Yes.

The good ones solve a problem the bad ones close you. So be the person that is solving people’s problems.

It’s that simple. Get out there and do that every day and if you solve problems on a daily basis you will win. There’s no way you can lose and you don’t have to close people. People will just generally come to you and that’s what powerful sales people do They’re just solving problems and that’s what we’re doing here together.

Daily Wins Through Prioritization

There are a few steps that can really help you set up your day. In today’s “Systems Saturdays” Article we discuss how to set up your day to win! We want to learn how to organize and become more efficient. This is one system that can change everything, and it is a great day to start the execution of a new system.

There’s So Much To Do!

Many of us have a lot on our plate! In order to make progress towards our goals, we have to slow down and get clear about we are looking to accomplish. That is the whole key! In order to prioritize, we have to become very clear about what we are going after.

What Are The Daily Wins?

“Daily wins through prioritization” means the things that you are consistently doing every day that are moving you towards your goals. If you want to learn how to speak Spanish, you have to study Spanish every day! When you want you want to create something, you have to make sure that you make time every day to work on that project.

What are we going to work on today?

First we have to review our mission. Then we have to decide what are the goals that will move us towards our mission! Then there are activities that will take us toward our goals. Those tasks are part of our daily Sacred 6. We have to prioritize what we can reasonably get done today to make some progress. That is the key!

What do you want to accomplish this Month?

Time is our most valuable resource! We need to make sure that we use it wisely. If we want to add a new activity to our schedule, we will probably have to give up a current one.  We use our mission and our goals to set realistic goals for the month, the week, and the day. It’s ok to set goals, and not reach them because we over estimated what we could accomplish. But as we practice with goal setting we want to develop the ability to become more and more realistic about how much progress we can make each day.

Realistic Expectations

It’s important to step back and create realistic expectations for what we can get done. We have to balance our regular duties and obligations, our health, and working on a new goals. We have to be kind to ourselves and be patient. It’s better to be happy with achieving one small task, than to worry about the 10 things that we put on our list, and then didn’t get to! Our daily task list is not a weapon that we beat ourselves up with! It’s simply a tool to help us stay focused. If we set reasonable expectations when we prioritize, then we will be able to get most of the things on today’s list done.

Prioritize in the AM

Take a few minutes every morning to review your mission and goals. Review yesterday’s wins and make a plan for today. Be realistic! Make a reasonable list of 5 or 6 thirty-minute tasks that you can easily accomplish. Then, as you accomplish them, celebrate each completed task as a Win! If you complete your whole task for the day, that’s an extra win! Make sure to take a few minutes to review your “Why”. Why are you going to work hard today? Why do you want to stay focused? What is your life going to look like when you achieve your goals? It’s important to stay focused on the big picture! When you have a lot of things going on, you have to step back and keep the big picture in your mind.

Then, get going!

Some people like to do the most difficult tasks first. That’s what Mark Twain called “Eating the frog.” . Other people like to knock out the quick and easy tasks first, in order to get some momentum going. It doesn’t really matter what order you do things, as long as you “Just Start™”.

Apply the 80/20 Rule

The Pareto Principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, states that 80% of effects come from 20% of the causes. That means that 80% of the results comes from 20% of the work. You have to constantly be analyzing your efforts, and eliminating the tasks that don’t produce results. You have to sharpen our focus, and be willing to change directions if some action or task doesn’t produce a result that we want. This can be difficult in the beginning of a project, because much of the effort that you make appears to have no results. This can be very frustrating. Sometimes, your efforts really don’t produce results! Sometimes, you just have to do the work, and trust that your efforts will produce results. At the beginning of a project there are going to be a lot of inefficiencies. So, your job is to learn to become more efficient. Take some time to analyze and measure your results, and then re-focus your energy on the tasks that produce the greatest effect.

How To Win through Prioritization

To recap, here are the steps to win through prioritizatioin: 1) Develop Clarity. Get totally clear on your objective and mission. 2) Know the “Why”. How is life going to be different when you succeed? 3) Create a monthly, weekly, daily task list. 4) Just Start™. Do the things you know that you need to do. 5) Apply the 80/20 rule, and constantly increase efficiency 6) Be Patient and keep going! Your Harvest is coming!

Visualize and Do

One of the most amazing powers we have to use is visualization. In this article, we’ll learn two techniques to use to access this power on a daily basis.
In our weekly book study on the MorningCoach Show, we’ve been studying The Master Key by Charles F. Haanel. He describes the power of visualization, and this is such a powerful tool, that we want to dive deeper into the power of “Visualize and Do”.

Visualize and then DO

Visualize and then do. What does that mean? Metaphysically, the mind is where we first see things happen. Everything that has every been created, like computers, microphones, speakers, paper… everything people create starts as an idea first.
We want to start allowing ourselves to create the things that we need to come into our lives. To make that happen, we need to understand some important metaphysical ideas

All Is Well

Everything is perfect in this moment. We’re all growing at the rate that we’re supposed to grow. That everything is hear for a reason. We’ve gone through our life experiences to take us to this moment in time in this material universe.

It’s important metaphysically to start with this idea, that everything is perfect, because otherwise we will fall into a lack mindset. Every person on the planet right now, is wanting something, even the people who have more money than they can spend.

Desire is Good

We’re all wanting something, we’re all working on something. Desire is normal, natural, and good. We have to understand that it’s okay to feel like things are perfect in this moment. It’s okay to feel like I need to do more. Those feelings are what pushes us. That’s what drives us. That uneasy feeling pushes us to get up and take action.

We Each Have a Mission

It is important to understand that every person on the planet has a mission. We want to do the things that we’re destined to do. We’ve all got a mission, a purpose, a experience on this planet that we are here to experience.

Let’s Have a New Experience

What is the next experience that you want to have? Walking on a beach in Fiji? Flying a plane? A more fulfilling job? A life partner?

Depending on the Scale and the magnitude of the experience that we want, it’s going to take some work to achieve that experience. The most important work is mental work.

It Starts in Our Mind

Remember that we learned that the things we create all started as an idea? We have an idea about our next experience. It’s important to realize that we wouldn’t even have that idea if we didn’t have the possibility to experience it.

We have to do the mental work that will allow us to have the mental power to create that new experience. We have to allow everything line up and manifest into a real experience.

Think and Grow Rich

First we need some clarity. The first thing that Napoleon Hill says in “Think and Grow Rich” is that we have to understand what we are going to do to earn the money for that next experience. How much money do we need, and how are we going to use it?

We need to know exactly how much money we need to have that experience, and how we are going to bring that money into our life.

The same thing goes for a relationship. We have to visualize the type of person that we want in our life, and then figure out what we are going to do to bring those people into our life.

There are basic principles that make the Law of Attraction work, but most people aren’t utilizing them in the correct way.

Once you have a clear picture, you know where you want to go, and you’re excited about that next experience, then it’s time to trust. It’s important to live your life as if what you want is already happening. It’s on the way.

How do we activate this trust? Spend time every day visualizing. Take five minutes a day and visualize that new experience as if it is already happening. For example, driving that new car. How does it feel? What is it like to drive? How do you feel when you see the care in your driveway? Generate as much positive emotion and enjoyment as possible as you visualize.

Visualize Morning and Evening

Spend five minutes visualizing first thing in the morning and right as you fall asleep. These are the best times of the day to program your subconscious mind. Focus on having the new experience, rather than on the obstacles that you might encounter.

Quiet the Mind

Add five to ten minutes of meditation to your day. It’s important to be able to quiet the mind, and that takes some practice. So, take a few minutes to just slow down your thoughts, and relax. Thinking about nothing is the best way to receive inspiration and new ideas.

With a consistent meditation practice, your mental powers will become stronger, and your visualization will become more and more effective.

If you really want to bring something new into your day, isn’t it worth 10 to 20 minutes of a day? Anybody can do this. It just has to become a priority and you have to set aside the time to strengthen your mental powers.
You can use the Quiet the Mind meditation that JB taught on the podcast a few weeks ago, and work on slowing those thoughts down.

Learning to Focus

When our thoughts are chaotic, and there’s a million things going on, it’s really hard to create what we want. All those thoughts create a type of drag, or resistance, that really holds us back.

We want to learn to use our mental powers to focus. Our mind is like the magnifying glass that we use to focus a beam of sunlight. With some time, the focused sunbeam will cause a piece of paper to catch on fire. Our power of focus works exactly the same way.

Let’s slow the mind down, get our priorities straight, and then focus on the next experience that we want. Clarity is the key to all metaphysical power. It’s knowing what you want and why you are driving towards it.

When we visualize something, it will happen.

Two Types of Visualization

First, there is Theater Visualization. It’s like you go and watch a movie. And the movie is you experiencing that new experience. If you want a better relationship, you see yourself meeting that person, or making the changes that you need to make to improve a relationship. If you want better health, you see yourself healing and becoming healthy, strong, and powerful.

Next there is First Person Visualization. We’ve seen those video games where you can see your hand reaching out and taking action. See the experience that you want to create through your own eyes, as if you were living it. You see the relationship occurring, you see the money coming in, you see the family coming together, you see your health improving.

Mastermind Visualization

When we are part of a mastermind group, we can start to visualize our success more clearly. We can also visualize the success that other members of the group are striving for. We often see the potential of others more clearly than our own potential, and we can help them hold to their’s by believing in them. And sometimes, we are the only ones believing in them. Their family doesn’t understand them, or is afraid of the changes they are trying to make. Having and giving that supportive mastermind visualization makes all the difference in our ability to achieve success.

Reality Distortion Field

Steve Jobs was so good about visualization that his people called it his reality distortion field. The best engineers in the world would tell him that what he envisioned couldn’t be done. But he had a really clear vision, and that clear vision allowed him to inspire others and attract the talent to manifest his ideas into a reality.

Lets Get Clear

Pam Grout has put together some interesting experiments that will allow you to test the Law of Attraction, and develop some belief in your ability to manifest the things that you want. You can also watch the progress of the members of our mastermind groups, as we celebrate their growth and success through using these powerful mental tools and systems.

We need to have a clear idea of what we want and we want to know why we want it. Then we focus on that vision and quiet the mind every day. Finally, we take inspired action to reach our goals.
