Your attitude is one of the most important things you can own. Because of the way we individually see things, every person has different views on life. Due to our different perspectives two people can look at the same situation and see two totally opposite viewpoints.
Every day we receive a form of conditioning from the things we put into our mind: the tv shows we watch, the news, the internet programs and what we read. Be very aware of your mental meal plan as it’s easy to allow other people to dictate our reality and determine our attitude towards life.
It’s amazing how the attitude of a person shapes the way their life is — their reality. Your attitude has a huge role in creating your reality. And if you are not a happy person or if things are not going in the direction you’d like, then this can be very serious. So, how do we change our attitude towards being more positive?
You can change your attitude by learning to move the needle. Many people are very negative whether they are conscious of it or not; that is just the way it is. It’s the nature of the human being tend more towards the negative.
How To Move The Needle To The Positive On Your Attitude Gauge
Our job here at MorningCoach is to help you move the needle on your attitude gauge. We need to move that needle from 51 – 52% negative and 48-49% positive to 51 – 52% positive and then 48-49% negative. By just making minor adjustments and flipping that needle a few percentage points will get you to thinking a little bit more positive and will change your life.
So, how is having a more positive attitude going to alter your life? Because you are going to shift your reality thru your attitude. You will begin to see things differently. You can not keep thinking in the same train of negative thought patterns and expect a positive result. It does not work like that.
Where you are in life is where you are — and that is okay we will start from there. What is important is that you begin to change your attitude and start to shift, so that you can experience the shifts in your day to day reality. You will find that once you can shift your perception a bit towards the positive then that situation changes for the better.
All it is a flip in attitude and making that positive flip a habit. There probably will be a lot of ups and downs in your life and you’ve just got to ride the waves and do your best to stay positive along the way.
Tips to Help Keep a Positive Attitude
Start your day with power: It is of upmost importance that you start your day off by refilling your mental tank first. Some people do this by a short meditation, by listening to MorningCoach, or by reading a sacred text. Either way, do yourself a favor and begin your day with filling yourself with a bit of positive energy. Fifteen minutes is all you need!
Move / Exercise: When you are in good physical shape (whatever that is for you) and you feel great, therefore your attitude will be better, your bank account will be better, everything is better in life. We realize everyone is busy and that finding time to exercise can be a challenge, however, the rewards in your reality are so worth it. It’s the natural boost that you need. There’s no better time than today to start.
Use books / audios / videos / music: Begin feeding your mind with positive uplifting knowledge. It is vital for your mental health to gain information from all various methods: watch a motivational movie, listen to an uplifting podcast and read something that will inspire you.
Hang out with positive people: You are the average of the 5 closest people to you. So, the people you hang out with is who you are most like. The internet is a great tool to connect with like minded people. You can attend different retreats and events where you are able to be around other people who “get” you. Remember: you cannot soar with the eagles if you are down hanging out with the turkeys.
Show genuine interest: At some point we will run into people who just don’t get being positive. You will find that even those people who don’t get it — they are lonely inside and frustrated; it isn’t about you. However, if you show just a tiny bit of interest in them and try to learn about them you can be the conduit, or the person that helps change their life as well as yours and that is huge.Showing genuine interest in others brings your attitude up.
Rubber band to stop negatives: this is a great cheap personal development tool to stop the negative thoughts in your mind. Get a rubber band or a MorningCoach wrist band and any time you are negative snap the and against your wrist. Snap it and train yourself to be a little bit more positive. Wear it every day.
Take a break: In order to stay positive and keep that needle over 51% you need to step back from things like your relationships, your business, your job at times. Take a breather to recharge your own batteries and then start back at again.
