[00:00:13] Good morning and welcome to MorningCoach today. I am so glad you’re with us. As you know, my name is J.B. Glossinger, and this is your personal evolution system, the place to get your day started right. Welcome, welcome, welcome. And I’m so glad you’re with me today. It is Friday, and you know I love Fridays. And today is the first day of September. How awesome is that? Right? And we’re starting September off with prosperity and abundance. We’re sending you some massive love and some massive prosperity and some massive abundance as we get ready to start the month.
[00:00:50] And, in full disclosure, today I’m actually in healing. And how do I how am I doing this Coachcast right now or this podcast? Well, this is actually a couple of days before. It’s actually prerecorded because I yesterday was actually in surgery, and I needed a couple of days recovery. So I apologize, because for me it isn’t Friday yet, but I will listen to this on Friday, and I will be in recovery from my dental issues that I’m dealing with. So, I just ask for your forgiveness this one time out of the 365 days of the year that I’m prerecording a little bit so I can handle my issues that I’m having. And actually Saturday and Sunday, depending on how this goes and how I’m feeling right now in this moment. I may put some replays up, or I may be able to do just a smaller or a shorter real podcast here as we do this. But I’m always with you as much as I can, but I needed to have a day off while I took care of that. I just wanted to let you know that’s what’s going on. And you might not even have known that if I hadn’t told you, but hey, I put it all out there. That’s just the way I am.
[00:02:01] So, today we’re going to have some fun. The first day of September here. We’re going to talk about “Can money buy happiness?” Now, you probably know what I’m going to say. Right? You’re probably thinking about this already. You’ve heard it all the time that money can’t buy happiness. That it can’t buy true joy. But I’m going to throw you for a loop today because I’m going to say, “Yes, it can.” Money can buy you happiness, but it’s not promised. Meaning, it doesn’t mean because you have money you’re going to have all this happiness and joy. So, I don’t want to be hypocritical and sit here and say money can’t buy happiness because I’m going to give you some reasons that it can, but I will tell you that it’s not promised that money is going to buy you happiness. OK?
[00:02:43] So, I just think that sometimes when we get in the metaphysical community, you know, we all kind of get into this lack where it’s like, “Hey, money can’t buy you happiness. Money, you know, you’ve got to find that, you know, happiness comes from the things that money can’t buy.” But that’s, there’s some truth that money can work for you and buy you happiness. So, I don’t want to go all the way in on that because the truth is it’s somewhere in the middle, but it’s not guaranteed. It’s not promised that you’re going to, you know, have happiness.
[00:03:12] So, how does money work? How does it work to bring you happiness if you start creating it? Well, one is to buy experience over material things. So, if you start to experience a life, you can use your money to start to experience really cool things and do different things. Right? So, experience is really a part of life. And so, if you travel, if you enjoy that- I’m not a big traveler but maybe you are- maybe it’s, you know, new a new training regimen which I like, you know, I love training and doing those things. You know, money can bring some joy in your life. Electronics because I’m a big nerd, you know, so I like my cameras and my microphones and stuff. So, money, that is kind of material, but it’s also the experience of shooting in 4K and flying the drone and doing some of those fun things, right? So, buy experience over material.
[00:04:00] The other thing where money really can work well for you is to buy time. And I think this is a big one. I think this is one that we don’t really think about much. And it’s so important that we think about this is that, you know, we can take money and use it to buy comfort and time. So, for example, if you take a direct flight over instead of a stopover, that saves you stress and time. Right? Because it gets you, it gets you there faster and gets you there quicker and you don’t have to stop. How about first class versus coach? Right? I tend to try to fly first class because I just can’t stand to fly. It drives me nuts. But really the thing that I want to do is get my time back. So, either flying direct or flying private. Right? Having your own private jet and that way you can take off whenever you want and come back whenever you want. I mean, that really to me is the lifestyle. I’m a ways away from that with my business. It may happen one day. Right? It’s out there. I’m putting it out there. But just imagine, I’m here in South Florida and I got to speak in New York, and I jump on a jet when I want at 10 AM in the morning and I’m up there at noon or 1:0 and I go speak and I come back to the airport at the time I want to leave. Right? I don’t have to wait for the jet to come and all the delays and everything, and I’m done at 2:00 or 3:00 and I jump on a jet and I’m back here by 5:00. Man, that’s an awesome lifestyle. Even going out west, you know, you jump on your jet and you fly out there. And that’s an experience I would like to have, right? Money can buy that, and you’re not going to get it without money. So, money will buy that. So, we can buy our time. How about cleaning the house? Right? I mean, you get somebody to come clean your house, that buys you time. Somebody washes your car. Somebody takes your dog for a walk. All these things are buying your time, and they all take money. So, understand that buying time is a way that money can bring you happiness.
[00:05:51] How about paying for medical? You know, if you have money, you can get some of the best medical service out there. So, I’m very fortunate. As I spoke this week, when I was younger, I knocked my tooth out, my front tooth, and it was pretty traumatic. I mean, it didn’t come back. It was kind of nasty. It was a bad thing. And I wore a flipper for most of my life until I finally was able to get an implant about 10 years ago. Well, the tooth next to it’s having real problems. So, I’m very fortunate that I can go to a great surgeon who is handling this for me and can take care of it over a month as I do bone and as I do this implant and get everything looking perfect and get it to where it needs to be. That takes money. Insurance isn’t going to pay for that. I mean, they’re not going to pay for something that happened 38 years ago. Right? So you need money. So paying for medical care and medical procedures. I don’t know if that’s really happiness, but at least you’re getting good care or better care because money can buy that, which can bring you some happiness. OK?
[00:06:50] The aspect of pay now and consuming later. You know, most people, when they go somewhere, they pay at the end of the the event or at the end where they went, you know, and did the things they’re doing. What if you paid for it up front? And then you don’t have that stress of afterwards. You consume it after. So you can, you can definitely do something like that where you consume now. You know, you take a romantic getaway and then you don’t normally Sunday comes and you pay the bill and it’s kind of a sorrow event. Well, why not pay in advance? And, you know, then you can get the pleasure and have fun and just come home. That’s what’s fun about it. And you’re also most likely to avoid credit card debt if you buy in advance. Right? And then deliver it to you. So, pay now, consume later. That’s another way to have a little bit of happiness.
[00:07:40] Help others! You know, I’m a big fan of Andrew Carnegie and his wealth ideas and his thoughts on wealth. And, you know, he builds it, he built it years ago to give it away. That was his whole philosophy, you know? To die a rich man is to die in sin. Or to die in a really bad… your not a good person, he would say. Right? That’s exactly what he said because he was like, “Give it all away. Build it to give it all away.” And he become one of the richest people in the world doing that. So, by helping others, obviously, when you have money, you can you can make a big difference in the world. You know, I always say this, if, you know, to save the rain forest, you don’t, you don’t go out and protest. You don’t go out and make signs and walk around. You go buy the rain forest. You get enough people together, we buy the rain forest. That’s where we can have some happiness and joy using, using money. OK?
[00:08:31] How about investing in others? This is another big one. Helping somebody through college. You know, I have one of my coaching clients, we’re talking about expanding his business, and I said one of the things you have to have in your heart is as you expand your business, you’re giving an opportunity to somebody to work up through the ranks and make more money. How cool is that? You’re like investing in them and giving them an opportunity in their life. A lot of people don’t look at that when they’re building a business. But the truth is you are providing an opportunity for others, so you’re literally investing in others. And I think that’s a big part of living a life full of happiness and joy is start to invest in others and give them an opportunity. So how do you do that? You have to have money for that. OK?
[00:09:12] So money can buy some forms of experience and time and help of other people, but it doesn’t mean that’s going to bring you happiness or love. There is truth to that, right? You can’t buy happiness, but you can use money as a tool to bring you a little bit more joy and help other people. That’s really what I’m trying to get to you today is that when you start to experience and you start to use your money in a different way, you start to see the way everything works in a totally different light. OK?
[00:09:46] So, it’s September 1st. I’m healing right now. I appreciate you sending me some healing energy. I mean, people are going through a lot worse than I am. Mine’s just a dental thing, and I appreciate that. I mean, the people in Houston need the energy more than I do. There’s people here that are battling things that are much deeper and health issues. But I do appreciate it. And I’m going to be with you every day. You know, I will be. If I have to record a few days because I’m traveling or because I’m going through a health issue, I will be here every day, and I appreciate you being here. And if you can, do me a favor: subscribe on iTunes, review. You know, those things help us get this word out because that’s my focus is to try to create more revenue, so that we can get out more and help other people and come together. And that’s really what I’m putting together. So, I wanted to throw you for a loop there, you know. And really, can money buy happiness? It can. I mean, it can bring happiness in certain ways. And I don’t want to be hypocritical and say it can’t. It can. But the truth is we can find happiness in much deeper places and that joy and in that love that we can bring into our lives. And that’s an important part of it.
[00:10:56] So, September 1st, we’re off to a great start of the month. It is Prosperity and Abundance Month. Remember, give- that’s part of it- and receive and allow the prosperity to come into your life as we keep moving forward. And recognize today that money can buy happiness, and when it does, use it, enjoy it. And then just keep it going because that’s what life’s all about. OK? So, I love you. I do. Again, thank you for all the energy! Thank you for the reviews. Thank you for the subscribes. Thank you for getting the word out. It means so much, and I will be back with you here tomorrow to get you going. And depending on how I’m feeling, just FYI, it may be a repeat, or it could be regular. OK? So, you’ll have to tune in to find out. I love you. Get out there. Have a great day. And I will be back with you tomorrow right here at MorningCoach.com.
